Our schedule contained 8 teams going to bowl games, including Va Tech going to a BCS bowl who we soundly beat 48 - 7.

Can you say that?
JMO but you tiger fans need to keep one thing in mind. Sure our ooc schedule wasn't as strong as it usually is but we are still the Buckeyes and you need to remember that. Do not try to judge how good our team is by our schedule but how good our team is. Just because we played a weaker schedule doesn't necessarily mean that we are not the best team in the country. What we did do was enough to get us into the NC game and from there we will see who is the better team.

You still lost 2 games to mediocre teams.

Yea, you're right. One of the mediocre teams was ranked in the Top 10 when we lost to them and the other medicore team has an all-world running back who finished #2 in the Heisman race and is playing in a New Years day bowl.

And one of the medicore teams we beat has a QB who won the Heisman.

A gator team that lost alot of its defensive players from last year?A kentucky team who lost to Miss.State and beat you at full strength? And the same Arkansas team that beat you who lost to Kentucky earlier in the year?As good as LSU is they are still vulnerable.

Trust me. The Tiger fans and the Tiger players know who we are lining up against Jan 7th. Neither group is taking the Buckeyes lightly.

And you're right. The outcome will be decided on the playing field and not by what fans post on message boards.

No Va Tech severely SUCKED this year. Look back at who Va Tech beat this year to win that ACC? Name one damn victory that is impressive for them? You can't because they were handed the ACC on a plater this year. Boston College??Bull shit they're horse shit too as proved when they lost to Florida State. Va Tech is in an average ACC and there is not one team that is worth a damn in that conference. They have no Oline, no O-cordinator, no running back, they had at that time no QB, they take personal fouls all the time, they are undersized in their front 7, and they lack a 2nd CB besides Macho Harris. I know this because I use to live 10 minutes from campus and my best friend is a hokie for life (like we are Buckeye/tigers for life). Fine hang your hat on the SEC championship cuz thats impressive to me, but hanging your hat on a Victory over an average (at that time barely average) Va Tech team in your back yard and at night is something that shouldn't be done. that team at that time was uncapable of even challenging you. It wasn't because LSU was healthy it was because va tech is not a very good ball club. I gaurantee that Illinois, wisconsin, michigan, and penn state would've also defeated Va tech. Like my buddy says anyone with a PULSE on defense will beat Va Tech.

haha you're right... right when I replied that I knew one of ya'll would say that. You're right we wouldn't know, but going on what I've seen tech struggle with (pressure from the defense, and good solid running teams) I'm ASSUMING I guess is a better word that Tech would lose. Seriously though Tech is not a team you should be proud of stomping this year. Usually if you beat them like that sure its something to be proud of but in the beginning of this year they were a very poor ball team.

I guess it's real easy to guarantee things that didn't happen and won't happen.

Well you also used some flawed logic when arguing that your losses were against teams in the top 10...at the time. South Carolina was also ranked 6th at one time...6 straight losses later, are they still considered a solid victory? Kentucky...is well, Kentucky. I'll give you Florida...but Arkansas? The win over Tennessee was so-so...if Ainge doesn't have a brainfart, dunno if we are even having this discussion.

Wisconsin and Michigan were both considered MNC contenders and top 10/5 material...at one time. Hell, South Florida, Texas, and Louisville were all top 10 at one time.

You can win the schedule argument all day, every day...but please don't waste the breath to include the "at one time" argument.

How do you explain the struggles with Tulane in the first half? What about Alabama giving LSU a run for their money only to later lose to a sub division?

Probably the same way tOSU fans would explain early struggles with Akron and late struggles with Michigan State.

I mean didn't any of ya'll LSU fans notice how easy it looked against Va Tech and how hard it looked the rest of the year? Where would you guys put Va Tech if they played in the SEC?? I wouldnt' put them above South Carolina and thats bad. That'd be like us pointing at the North Western game and saying thats what we do when we play our game (53-7 or something like that), but just because we killed them doesn't mean thats how we'd beat teams if we played up to standards all the team. Besides we'd beat teams worse than that cuz that game wasn't our best :wink2:

Wisconsin is gonna beat Tennessee!!! Write it down...Wisky has beaten back to back SEC teams. Wisconsins D-line will be healthy. They started playing alot better defensively late in the season. Tennessee's defense sucks. Wisconsin will wear that defense down by the third quesrter. Also Wisky has the best TE and field goal kicker in the country. Melhalf won them the game versus Arkansas last year nailing a 53 yarder.

IMO Michigan is gonna get shelled...hopefully.

The rubbermatch is LSU and OSU. IMO the B10 is gonna do better than people think.

This Bullshit sense of superiority by the SEC is crazy. Since 2000 the B10 has a winning record versus the SEC in Bowl Games...it must be the speed:!

LSU is still a team I would never overlook though.

I don't think many SEC folks would be dumb enough to argue that the Big 10 doesn't have some players who are just as fast or faster than some SEC players...however, the SEC speed argument is more of a reference to the playing styles of the teams.
