With all due respect...

When someone practically opens with "Dude was outcoached by Larry Coker"... is there really any point in responding? Honestly, is there a being in the universe capable of abstract thought who believes that Tressel was out-coached in that game?

please
Glenn Sharpe probably wrote that.

Tressel was outcoached by Larry Coker, yea, and the Terrelle Pryor thread is only 11 pages.

Just reported by local sports news that Flynn's shoulder injury will not allow him to finish the NC game and he may not play. Looks like the bulk of the work will be done by Perrilloux.

What, are they physic? If he can start and he's not injured why can't he finish? Color me skeptical.

Hey do not kill the messenger. This would make sense if it is true he had surgery the Monday after the SECCG.

No, I'm not shooting the messenger. If that's the story it just doesn't make sense the way it was reported. Also, that's the first I've heard about surgery. We've got a student source on one of the Tiger boards that should be able to confirm/deny.

It was reported pretty by WAFB. They normally have a very good inside track on LSU. It would be great to know if it is true...

Would you prefer Flynn or Perriloux? My guess is Flynn, but how big a deal do you consider RP getting the start, in as much as he did pretty well in the SECCG..

Flynn, no question. He's got the big game experience. Assuming Flynn is healthy, when RP is in the game you can bet Tressel and the coaching staff are looking at film to confirm he runs the ball 85% (my guess) of the time.

Well, with all due respect to RP and LSU fans, he didn't exactly play a top-notch Tennessee defense in the SECCG. They were ranked 74th in total defense, 66th in scoring defense, 69th in pass effeciency defense, and 68th in rush defense.

Figured. Thanks.

Flynn gives us the best chance to win. Perrilloux is NFL talent that needs game time experience. They managed RP very well in the SECCG but Flynn is the best option at this point. Plus, RP had to have stitches in this throwing hand after the SECCG.

FWIW

The long TD that RP threw in the SEC CG was into double coverage and should have been picked. The safety broke on it and I started to tell my UT buddy it was a pick, then the FS just absolutely misplayed the ball in the air as poorly as one could play it.

Do we have actual confirmation anywhere?

I checked a couple of Tiger boards and there is no news to confirm. On Tiger Rant the last post of about 4 or 5 was over an hour ago. I don't know who their source was for the story, but it sounds like they may have missed the boat.
