BCS Guru (incorrectly) projected LSU-Oklahoma State in Title Game

its a double standard basically.....remember the cry when Nebraska got into the title game in 2001 after not winning their conference or division of their conference? (same with Oklahoma after they lost to Kstate in the Big 12 title game)

why should it be OK now if it wasnt ok then?

Because everyone wants to see a rematch of the most exciting game ever played!!!!!

I have a number of reasons for why I believe and prefer that it be TBPU and LSU in the final game.

However, I'll say this- An Alabama/LSU final, with an LSU victory, is the only way that Bama fans don't claim some sort of national title.

I find your lack of faith in bama fan's ability to claim a national championship disturbing.

the best proof of the double standard -

scUM lost ON THE ROAD by 3 to #1 Ohio State........then the voters hijacked the polls after Florida won the SEC title game to prevent a rematch

Bama loses AT HOME by 3 and is allowed a rematch after not winning their conference (or division)

why wasnt Bama given the same treatment as scUM in the near similar scenario (difference being bama losing at home to the #1 team)

Yep. I'll be watching the Rose just out of tradition, but I don't really have much interest in it. Otherwise, I hope the ratings suck, especially for the NCG.

I won't even be watching that.

Being that I'll be at work kinda helps though. But unlike previous years when that happened, this year I just don't give a damn.

How dirty do you feel for sticking up for scUM?

Well, then you'd have to prove that intent "not have a rematch" was at work instead of voters giving credit to UF for winning a conference CG in a tough conference. How do you prove the hijack without proving intent?

Plus, fair or not, the Big-12 is seen as having no defense and being a conference playing Madden NCAA. There are some old timers who like to watch defense in a CG. I guess it comes down to if you liked the LSU-Bama game or not. I enjoyed that more than the 56-55 games I see in the Big-12 on a regular basis.

the first Bama LSU game was not good defense, im sorry, it was way more of awful offense.........I dont expect the 2nd game to be any better.

im not against defensive games..........but there is a difference between terrible offense and good defense
