Does it irk anyone else that 2 loss ND (one of those to Michigan State, by the way) to a BCS is pretty much a given while Ohio State is left to sweat it out?

ESPN, SI, and USA Today's are all old though because they have Miami as the ACC champ, which isn't going to happen, and the CBS SportsLine one is totally invalid on the merits of Dennis Dodd being a douche.

Unless Phil Knight pays $40 million to one of the BCS selection committees Oregon doesn't have a chance. Alabama blew their chance by losing their past 2 games. When they select teams for BCS games they look at $$ then who will play the best. Oregon and Bama fall short in at least one of the categories each. OSU brings as much money as anyone so we are going to be in along with ND. The only question is will the Orange Bowl take us or PSU. Now that Miami is out of the Orange Bowl they can't setup a rematch of the NC game so I hope they take PSU so we can play the Domers.

Truthfully SoS probably wouldn't matter since ND would still be high enough in the BCS to get an at large bid. We are still ahead of them in the BCS even though they are 1.5 spots better than us in the human polls.

Question: If we beat ND by more than USC did in the Fiesta Bowl and Texas beats USC by more than they beat us do we have any chance of jumping USC in the final polls?

IMO if Texas beats USC by 2+ TD's and we do the same to ND we have shot.

Put yourself in the Bowl selection committees shoes for a minute. Your #1 concern is an attractive matchup that will generate the most revenue possible.

Set aside all the emotion and bias and think to yourself, who will do a better job of providing that, OSU or Oregon.

Screw all the talk of "fair", "1 loss vs 2 loss", "strength of schedule", all of that stuff is just fans talking.

When the money talks its OSU without a shadow of a doubt. Better TV ratings, better fan support, bigger matchup with whomever you put them against.
