Baylor Bears (official thread)

KSU could've run that delayed QB draw every play in the first half. LOL. Why they went away from the run makes no sense.
It's amazing that a team that only had one offensive play and a mediocre defense could run that play over and over again and lose by 7. Seriously, all night they talked about his weakness at throwing the short routes, but the long routes missed by 5+ yards every time. Their RB was decent and had some power but poor vision. Their QB could run with the best of them but often made late decisions leading to no gain. They could have run QB draw/ read option every play and won the game. Zeke and JT would shred their defense and we wouldn't even have to throw the ball. Confident in a 42-20 victory if we played the bears tomorrow.

At least one.

Possibly

I did see one play last night that, in my mind at least, epitomizes the B12.
  • On the first TD for Baylor the 19 year old true freshman QB who obviously isn't powerfully built, runs read option on the DT.
  • DT demolishes the RB
  • 19 year old string bean true freshman QB is now one on one with KSU LB #35 head up in the hole.
  • #35 is, according to KSU, a 224LB redshirt JR LB
  • LB stays flat footed in the endzone, takes the contact initiated by the QB, does not move his feet or drive forward in any appreciable manner and slides weakly off allowing the TD
How the fuck does that happen at any level of football? The fact that #35 is starting at LB would seem to suggest he beat out others for the job meaning that there are 2-3 other guys on that defense who would do worse in that same situation? That's almost impossible to comprehend.
