Anyone else on board old enough to remember Jayvan's? It was a ram shackle three story down among the east bound B&O tracks. Probably where the Linden - McKinley and Columbus East territories rubbed against each other... And those were hickory smoked, dry rub ribs... beans and greens and cornbread and you brought your own liquor. You also behaved yourself, parked your attitude outside the door and enjoyed the best ribs in the city,

The top two floors were off limits to most customers and reputed to be a floating card game and 'ho house.

I've been there a few times to pick up some BBQ. It wasn't bad at all.

Best ribs in OH are at the New Riegel Cafe. Tiny ass town, pretty sure the restaurant is the only thing of interest in a 10 mile radius, the ribs are good though. They're not expensive either, you can get a large order for $15 /w fries I think. Great place to meet with friends if they're not far.
