What's the point?

The dry rub holds the moisture in while the ribs cook, adds its own flavor. If this had been a choice it's the one I would have picked.

I also like to take a pork tenderloin, coat it with some olive oil and then dry rub and put it on the grill... I'm a charcoal guy, and none of that stuff that's been dipped in jet fuel for one match starts. I got over the smell of napalm in the morning a long time ago. It does nothing for the food.

you cannot compete with Rendevous. Check out the new 36 mafia reality show on mtv, their going away party is held at Rendevous. For all of you liberal Clinton fans, they catered Clinton's 1992 inaugural gala, as well as Justin Timberlake's most recent tour. Oddly enough, they cook over charcoal instead of wood, but the flavor is amazing.
