B1G CCG: THE Ohio State University vs NW’ern: Sat, Dec. 19 in Indianapolis, Noon on Fox

JF isn't the running Lamar is, especially with acceleration and lateral agility.
JF is a mobile QB in the mold of a Steve Young or Donovan Mcnabb - who really is going to take a good long while to improve the latter.

He isn't a better passer than Haskins. Not in term of his pocket set and footwork, his windup, ball placement, eye quickness, processing speed, anticipation and throwing at different paces across the entirety of every level of the field.

And keep in mind, I believe Dwayne was pick 17th?

Fields running reminds me of Pryor. He's a natural. He's got moves and speed and a good mix of when to take contact and not.
His arm is good - touch and accuracy. Agree Haskins is a better pure passer.
His decision making and the speed of that decision making is where he needs work.
So... late 1 project... the potential and need for QBs is too high to drop farther than that.

Needs more xp if he wants to be more than a quick flash in the pan imo. But he'll het paid either way i guess.

Funny sentiment after everyone desperately wanted any sort of football when it looked like everything was gonna get shut down. Not singling you out really but yeah this season was always going to be a shit show.
That wasn't me. I've been critical of trying to play a season during a pandemic from the start. I believe my exact words going in were "this is going to be a shit show."

Don't expect nor want damn a thing. I'm here to post the good with the bad, especially given that I really haven't had time to sit down and watch a game this year while enjoying it with my BP family. That said, there is a certain vindication I'm feeling having my football insight show to have a large degree of accuracy. Sadly it's coming at the expense of seeing my beloved Buckeyes flounder in a big game.

Fair enough. Apologize if I came off as an asshole.

I don't disagree that Fields needs more experience. He'd struggle badly if he tried to start in the NFL next year. Hoping he settles down and they move more towards the MSU game plan in the second half. I think it'd be hard to stop this offense with quick throws and Fields threatening to run the ball all game.

The only person who gives a damn about your alleged" football insight" is you. :roll1:
