From the games I've seen person at the Shoe, I actually think that Haskins and Fields (and Cardale for that matter) all had downfield vision and decision making problems. Wide open options all over the place. The game last year where this really stood out was against Penn State.

I would say I'm disappointed, but this offense has been foreshadowing these types of problems since the B1G title last year.

Yep. Whether it's lack of depth defensively or not enough reps on offense to get things together because of all the bullshit this year has brought, unfortunately have to accept that this team is nowhere near ready to compete in the playoff. Maybe we pull our heads out of our asses for the second half and delay it a couple weeks, but I'm ready for that inevitability.

I personally am not sold on Combs as a DC. Our secondary is atrocious. And it isn't the talent or depth. You cannot tell me that NW has that much better DBs than we do and they are facing a hell of a lot better WRs than our DBs are today and the NW WRs are WIDE THE FUCK OPEN every play.

We have gotten out coached today on both sides of the ball. We have had secondary issues ALL YEAR!

Only excuse is that Northwestern returned their entire D so they’re pretty experienced. If shit doesn’t get corrected next year then yeah it’s time to go
