Aundrey Walker (Southern Cal Signee)

IMHO, huge loss for the Buckeyes. As stated earlier, I think Walker, barring injury, is a future All American. I wish the young man well:)
We'll see what happens. If he becomes Kris O'Dowd v2.0, it would be a big boon for USC. He's got the size to make it big at the next level.

Good luck in LA, Drey.

Definitely glad to have him, and I gotta give a hand to Kiffin and Coach O for nabbing him from your pipeline

To the posters saying he's going to regret it and "who wants him anyway?" and so on -- grow up.

We lost Mamba but I'm not mad at the kid. I hope he goes on and does well. I just hope we beat him on the field. But nobody should be hoping for a poor life for any of these kids. If you are, shame on you.

I wish him the best of luck, I just think that he might regret his decision in a few years being so far from home, and all the stuff that is going on at SC. Kiffin is a great recruiter, he could sell a steak to a vegan. Wish I knew what sold him on SC, besides weather..

I don't now give much of a [Mark May] about Aundrey Walker, and I wonder why anyone else does.

I don't wish the young man ill, but he's not a Buckeye, so the heck with him.

My sentiments exactly. Many feel the "politically correct" thing to do is to wish "good luck" to kids that we missed out on signing. If I ever do that, remind me to blow my own head off, because by that point I'd have to be so riddled with a terminal disease that I'd probably be sitting in a big pile of my own urine and feces and would need to be reminded to put myself out of my misery.

In regards to this recruit, who is a High School football player from Cleveland who is going to play College Football in California, why exactly would I want to wish him "luck" in his future endeavors? I'm open for opinions.

Peace

Because he's an 18 year old kid that genuinely seems like a good kid? It's not like he's been saying IM GOING TO tOSU all along and then at the last second switched. He handled the process pretty well as most Glenville kids do (excluding LaTwan...) and in the end he made HIS decision. I don't wish him national championships or anything but I wish him a healthy playing career without any problems and that he represents OHHSA football and Glenville well.

Like WoodyWorshiper, I don't wish him any ill will. However, I see no reason to wish him well. Any success he has would also contribute to USC's success, and I have absolutely zero desire to see them succeed.

And so far as genuinely seeming like a good kid, since I have had zero contact with him I'll withhold judgement on that.

:oh:

Does USC have any scholarship reductions for this class?

I suppose this has been discussed elswhere, but a class of 30 seems like classic oversigning. USC also had six OL signees.

Given the numbers game, any reason to think Walker could end up staying in Ohio?

No need to worry, usc is a honest straight edge outfit.

Get off the soapbox. I wasn't one of those posters who was saying he'll regret it or "who wants him," but those types of posts are not even close to "hoping for a poor life" for someone. You're bending over backwards trying to mischaracterize the posts in this thread. I suggest you go back and read the many posts which wished Walker well after he signed with USC. You might want to edit your post after doing so.

highly doubtful...theres no way he gets pushed out if they have to trim their class to meet a certain number because of sanctions...and he has already signed his LOI so to stay in ohio and go to ohio state he would now have to sit out a year i believe...so no i think he stays at USC

You got him..but that's about all you can say..in addition to being a walking, talking NCAA violation..Kiffin can't coach..and you can't hide that..sooner or later you have to coach em up..I don't think your fanbase is going to be thrilled when he can't even win the Pac(whatever) conference like Petey did...
