Gas here in Del Rio which I call Hell Rio is $ 1.93. I am loving it especially since I drive an SUV. I hope it stays this way for a bit that way I wont be so strapped.

Interesting read.
Talks about the same brand station can have two stations less than a mile apart but the gas be 20 cents different in price.

Cheaper gas has been a rare bit of good news for consumers rattled by huge drops in the stock market, rising mortgage payments and difficulty in obtaining credit. According to Deutsche Bank research, for every dollar that comes off pump prices, U.S. households save a staggering $100 billion a year — money that can be spent on other goods and services to help jolt the economy.
Deutsche Bank estimates that the $100 billion would be worth 3 million new jobs.
But even with cheaper energy, Deutsche Bank’s Sieminski predicts the weak global economy will weigh on fuel demand well into 2009 — bringing oil to a quarterly average of $50 a barrel for that year.

I paid a buck ninety seven yesterday, the way I see it, I should be driving to work and back twice now lest my fuel allowance isn't used by the end of the year and they take it away.
