Annual BP bracket contest

There is no wrong answer to the bracket. Except picking Gonzaga. If you pick Gonzaga to the Final 4, you really are an idiot.
I have been called worse  IMO they have a fairly easy path and I do not see who is going to beat them until they get to the elite 8 and I am not sure if there are going to go down to one of those teams

ugh i hate my bracket... oh well

who’s gonna choke first Painter in Purdue or Barnes in Tennessee... I really hate that region.. i see no go options and have a tough time picking Virginia .... unless one of you guys who watches a ton @DZ83CK can tell me Virginia has improved offensively this year

You must have seen my B1G predictions lol.

I will say, an interesting correlation I have noticed is the last remaining unbeaten team typically fares well in terms of making the Final 4. Of course, there are exceptions like 2011 when OSU won like 26 in a row, but I say that is moreso due to facing a KY team with 6 future NBA players in the Sweet 16 rather than them actually not being F4 quality. This year, that would mean taking UVA and UM to the F4. I dont see how UVA loses that region, considering the other top teams aren't stacked with pros. UM has a tougher path - they could make it, but then again FSU and TTU are right there with them. Gonzaga is a soft perimeter D team so they will not make it. If you pick Duke, UM, UVA and either UNC or UK to the F4, you should believe your picks are as sound as anyone.

The thing about UVA is that they have an offense that flows until they play someone who has terrific defensive talent and the intensity is ratcheted up to 10. Then all of a sudden they are like Chip Kelly Oregon, when they aren't having their way offensively, the system collapses - in this case because their offense gives up points and they can't keep pace even with just decent offense by the opponent and when they get too far behind they ultimately can't stay patient like the system is designed to be. I believe Kansas St could beat UVA, even without Dean Wade. Dean Wade gave them nothing on D, and UVA's scoring mostly isn't in the interior anyway, so the UVA upset theory of defense first to turn the the tables is viable there. K-State has the type of defensive ability to give UVA fits. I suppose that could be the upset pick if you are looking to knock out UVA. But of course K-State has to win 2 games to get the matchup.

Gonzaga lost to FSU last year, now they are both different this year, but the Zags' guards are more shooters and finesse players (plus a mid-major grad transfer guard). I do not think they will beat FSU this year if they play again. I could see Baylor upsetting them as well.
