BN$--Hendrix: 'With Terrelle Pryor being a freshman....'

Andrew says tOSU and ND are definitely in his top 5. Pryor being a Sophomore right now is a favorable situation in his eyes, he will visit tOSU this weekend, and he will likely not attend a school Nick Montana chooses.

So...he's not going to Washington? That's good. It's unfortunate that the coaches went all in on Montana and only Montana for quite a while, but it's a good thing they saw the writing on the wall and got in on Hendrix before it was too late. I think the offer before Montana decided showed Hendrix that they were 1a and 1b.

Striking out on QBs last year (for the most part, sorry Kenny Guiton, but the coaches didn't even know who you were until you were offered), Andrew Hendrix would be a important get.

I think I'm echoing what many people have said or thought with regards to recruiting this season. Yes, we're off to a great start but I must admit this "let's concentrate on one recruit" is getting a little tired. We've been bitten in the behind one too many times. It will be interesting to see if they change their policy in the upcoming years. Next year, we will have Miller who likely will commit to us regardless of what happens this year. Nonetheless, Hendrix becomes a huge must get.

I'm curious about the academics at ND in the field of medicine compared to Ohio State...I don't profess to know what each school offers, but it seems to me that Andrew said he watned to be a doctor and I seem to recall that OSU offers a program in the field he wanted to study/practice...

I could be wrong, though.

My brother-in-law is an orthopedic surgeon so I think I can share some info that is quite pertinent on the subject.

For pre-med, no difference between OSU and ND. My brother-in-law went to ND, but straight from his mouth "there is no difference".

He decided to go to med school at University of Chicago.

But when it came time for his residency in orthopedic surgery, there was no choice at all on where he wanted to go. He said "one of the top 2 programs in the country is OSU." He was accepted into the orthopedic residency at OSU, went there, and couldn't have been happier.

So if orthopedic surgery is what one wants to eventually do with one's life, the program at OSU is one of the best, if not the best, in the country.

Banned? No, we just like to keep the kid's thread on the kid. Like this one is about Andrew Hendrix.

General recruiting talk regarding multiple prospects can be taken to the general recruiting threads where it is very relevant and very welcome.

Just saying.

Well with alot of people still unsure about how long Bauserman will be here, Hendrix is a pretty huge priority. Does he have a "leader" yet or is still even? Just seems everytime I hear him talk, I get the sense he really like Miami......I hope I'm wrong. To me, Hendrix is too talented a QB to just be a "depth" guy, he has the talent to start at this level.

He won't be a depth guy if he comes to Ohio State, he will have the chance to compete for a starting job, and will most likely be the favorite to win the starting job, in 2012 at the latest, with the possibility of 2011 if Pryor leaves early. That means that he will have the chance to start anywhere from two to four years at Ohio State, depending on if he redshirts and if Pryor leaves early. That's hardly a depth guy.

There is a reason that the coaching staff wanted a more polished QB for this class, they won't have much time to develop them before they will likely be starting.

Thank you. I thought that was the case but didn't want to speak without knowledge and I didn't have time to research.

Hopefully Andrew takes this into account when making his decision and I'm sure he will. Moeller is a strong athletic program and department. I am sure they will counsel him on all aspect of his choice.
