Alright LSU fans, what do you think of us?

NOLA

Im coming. Either staying at the Iberville suites, or something Durnay. It wil be my second time in NOLA, as I was there in 98 when we beat aTm in the Sugar Bowl. I was only 18 and had an absolute blast. Question.......Im no really into sight seeing but what is there to do when I am detoxing, and not doing anything buckeye related??

depends on what you like to do. I will be spending a ton of time at the casino playing poker. you can go to the riverwalk, there are quite a few things. Honestly once you get past Harrahs though.. i tend to not know.

I'll give you LSU fans one thing: you guys are really making me have to google lots of things (specks, nutria, etc.).

Actually, one more thing: I have been very impressed with the level of discussion that you visiting LSU fans have brought to the board. Congrats and enjoy your stay. :)

Agreed. Im pretty much a lurker here but I have to say the LSU fans are great. I wish I was going to the game.

Word has it, LSU fans love their band as much as we love ours too. That's rare in college football. Lots of history and tradition between these two schools... cant wait until Jan. 7

Our band has nearly as big a following as the football team. TGBFTL is a HUGE part of Saturday nights in Death Valley.

Yup, its exactly the same here. We have anywhere from 10-15k people show up for the bands pre-game prep rally if not more. Its funny that you have have an acronym for you band as well. Im assuming Golden Band from Tiger Land?

Ours in TBDBITL... I will let you figure that one out. :)

Officially, The Golden Band from Tigerland... It is never called TGBFTL until OSU fans started posting that acronym, TBDBITL, on LSU boards.:tongue2: I think you guys actually have a pronunciation for that acronym right?

I love your band. I think they sound great. I have watched a couple videos on them. Im not usually a big fan of the southern bands but I like LSU because they are a mix between southern and military.

OSU is all military high step.

Here is the ramp entrance: Do you have any of the LSU band entrances?

This is them marching "Down the Hill" into the Stadium. About 1:38 into it, is when they start playing "Pregame". Thousands of people line the streets an hour or so before the band even arrives on the hill just to get a spot.

Yup, the walk was the one I watched. The LSU band sounds great, crisp and clean. Very impressed, unlike Florida's band which I thought was second rate.

Speaking of thousands, watch the skull session video at 2:00. Its the same for us, thousands line the street to watch the march from the prep rally to the stadium.

Its almos funny how we have similar traditions.

No kidding. I had no clue we were so similar. Also, it's quite refreshing to have an opponent who actually accepts us to their boards. It's expected in the SEC to receive a lot of venom on rival boards, because of the rivalries on the field. But when you play someone "new", it seems like you'd want to have civil discussions with their fans. So far, y'all are the only ones to do so. Like I said, last year Notre Dame boards would ban anyone who said anything positive about LSU, and didn't even allow some people to join with LSU usernames.

This is a great board, and all of us Tiger fans really appreciate the warm welcome we have received here. Of course, now y'all have forced me to become somewhat of a Buckeye fan (Not on Jan 7th though), and I may have to save up some money to make a trip to the Horseshoe.

haha! I would love to go to a game in death valley. The place is legendary for crowd noise.

Its funny, because Buckeye fans are hit and miss with other out of conference opponents. When Texas came here, we hated them, even though there was no reason to. I think Buckeye fans just respect SEC schools, and the class that the LSU fans have showed probably helps. :)
