As much as they've gone back to that "looking ahead to the draft" excuse... they had just 1 guy in the 1st round, 3 in the first 3 rounds, and 7 in total (2 each in the 5th and 7th)
Don't think leadership or all the players not getting drafted would've done anything about Cardale taking away Landon Collins' manhood. It would've done nothing to account for their suspect CB. Or develop a WR besides Amari Cooper.

The "looking ahead to the draft" excuse is very popular amongst the whole SEC. As if Ohio State or whoever in a higher bowl game doesnt have players who are slso going to get drafted.....

The other one is "they didnt want to be there" (ex when Bama lost to Utah and Oklahoma in non title games)

Right. I freely admit I haven't fucked Jessica Alba because I don't get regular manicures. I am admitting fault. It has to be true.
Being overly cocky against a good team is a pretty big flaw, and has certainly cost many teams a lot of wins. Note, they also don't say that is the only thing that was wrong with that team. Many of those players are still there. Would you want one OSU's corners saying they guy that played that position last year sucked?

You guys are reaching.

What do we think of this? I'm not sure better leadership stops our running back from rolling over your defense like he did.....
Who cares. Different team, different season, all around different situation. Bama had us at 21-6 early in the game w/Henry rolling. I don't believe in draft excuses, invincibility, or leadership issues. Their coach is Nick Saban, if they're leadership wasn't "where it should be", he's the first person I look at if I'm on the roster or a fan in the stands.

All of that BS aside, looking at the game that was actually played, I saw an Alabama team last year that maybe wasn't quite as strong at D-Line or at Secondaty as they are this year. Their defense that will arrive against Sparty is very very strong - across the board. Stronger than last year's squad.

Sparty is in trouble - leadership issues or not.

The defense is better, but the offense is worse.

Well that would actually be admitting flaw instead of making excuses.
Our LBs did say they sucked in 2013...

Leaders not doing what they need to do is a flaw too. It was admitted. I don't see the difference. Your hate is blinding you... Again.

Sorry for pointing out your inconsistency.
- You guys didn't have that many kids drafted high to claim it as an excuse
- Leadership or not wouldn't have done anything about Cardale trucking Bama players all night long
- Leadership wouldn't have done anything about the over-reliance on Cooper
- Leadership wouldn't have done anything about your suspect secondary
- Leadership wouldn't have done anything about your inability to stop our OLine and Eze.

It's pretty funny you suggested they not admit actual problems... and instead focus on intangible excuses for which nobody can lay a finger on how it actually effected the game.
- Admitting your secondary was suspect would be an actual problem ... but that's the one thing you advocated against admitting. And refused to admit the past couple months. I'm seeing a pattern. :slappy:
