Doubt it, his name would stay in HC circles, it would just get smaller. Fans don't care, they like the name. I bet fans of UC would take Kiffin in a heartbeat even if he doesn't succeed at FAU. They endured Tuberville for years happily(until this last season). Heck, Briles may get a gig in another year

Well OF COURSE Briles would get a gig. They guy won big at multiple stops. His problem was that he didn't care about people along the way. Fans are willing to forget that for a winner. Lane hasn't been a winner.
