Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

Am I the only one baffled by all of the love for Alabama, and the talk of their dominance this year? I get it that they're undefeated, and they've beat everyone they scheduled. But when I hear from analysts that there's Alabama and they're ahead of everyone else, it puzzles me. Yes, they've played their toughest games on the road like tOSU, but unlike tOSU those teams were actually not all that good or consistent. As of today's rankings, Bama has 1 win over a team in the top 15, ONE! And that team wasn't even nearly as goof as they are now(USC). Ohio State has 3 with a 4th coming this Saturday(fuck _ichigan). tOSU has played inconsistent due to youth and inexperience at a number of positions, but with the veterans that Bama has all over the field, they haven't always played top notch either(though they've been more consistent than us). I would actually look forward to playing them in an NC, and having a rematch with their DT QB in Hurts. It'd be interesting to see our D line vs their O line and our DBs taking on their WRs.

Just wait till those veterans worry about their draft stock again in the playoffs.

Definitely a cheap shot by 12 Gauge :banger:

I posted in the Sugar Bowl thread the block that Landon was probably talking about.......but in this play (that happened after that block), Landon's just lucky Cardale decided to attack his left shoulder instead of his injurred one.

Also.....    what the hell is #7 doing on that play? Did he think Cardale was going to gently lay down and cuddle with him?

Link please???

Edit: Here. Got it from your post history. Thanks!

Edit 2: If he thinks that is a cheapshot, Brandon Collins is a pussy.

I don't remember Saban ever laying the blame elsewhere (let alone on the way the Buckeyes played [in a negative fashion anyway]).
I think his comments in question were:

"I just felt like in our experience last year, our chemistry from the SEC championship game to the playoff game was affected by something. We had six guys in this situation this past year and 11 the year before. We're trying to get ready for a game and all of a sudden a guy finds out he's a first-round pick or a guy who thought he was a first-round pick finds out he isn't and we're trying to play a playoff game.

"I think it would be better not to submit that information to a player until he was finished competing in college. We've moved the draft [to later in the year]. We've not moved the date that a player has to declare."

The extent to which he was blaming the loss on that is debatable.
