Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

BREAKING: Alabama now scrambling to fill its 2020 football nonconference slate.

They are still scrambling......

Alabama To The Pac-12: No, You're Not Cancelling Your Out Of Conference Games

Yesterday was a big day in college football. The Big 10 and Pac 12 announced they were going to a conference only schedule this fall. The ACC reportedly will be doing the same. That leaves the Big 12 and SEC as the two conferences that haven't made a decision yet.

Alabama has decided to take an interesting approach in regards to how they will deal with these announcements.

Pac 12: We are not playing out of conference games this fall.

Alabama: Nope.

Pac 12: What?

Alabama: Nope.

Pac 12: Alabama, we are concerned about COVID-19 imp...

Alabama: See you at Jerry's World in September!

Hit the music! SEC! SEC! SEC!

Alabama veterans preach caution to teammates

Alabama running back Najee Harris is hoping he and his teammates can deal with 12 weeks “of just really trying to be safe.”

The Crimson Tide star and other veterans have preached caution to teammates while also remaining steadfast on wanting to play this season amid the pandemic.

“We try to tell them don’t go to parties, but like it’s kind of hard to tell somebody not to go to a party in college,” Harris said during a Zoom call. “We understand it, but we’re kind of just telling them, `If you do go to a party, like make sure you guys are overly safe.”‘

That means wearing a mask, keeping distance from others and not picking up items after others, “because what you do plays a part in what happens to the whole team.”

Stupid advice from the veteran ALabama leaders that is just asking for trouble: You don't say "don’t go to parties" then say "If you do go to a party, like make sure you guys are overly safe. That means wearing a mask, keeping distance from others and not picking up items after others". You know that there will be no such thing as being 100% safe at a party, so if they go to parties they are just asking for COVID-19 exposure, etc.

The veteran Alabama leaders should say "don't go to parties, make that sacrifice this semester for the team, if you can't make that sacrifice just opt out this season".

Yeah, just don't go to parties as an 18-21yo on a football team at a football crazed university...
