The coaching position one never wants to take is to follow a legend, let alone the GOAT. Been proven time and time again. John Wooden, Woody Hayes, Lou Saban, Lou Holtz, could name a few more. But one gets the picture. Steve Lavin (John Wooden), Earl Bruce (Woody), took the job but never became household names, no?

Fair enough. I was there, too, but I didn't remember that he was the quarterback.
My point is that the public tantrum gave him some publicity. I mean, more people probably know the soundbite ("I'm a man! I'm 40!!") than know it comes from him.
