For those of you that haven't seen the McGahee hit yet here is a link to it.

When he left the field he was alive and moving all his limbs so I say its ok to make fun of him getting blown the fuck up now.

If he wasn't a cockhole from DaU that is now a Ratbird I might feel differently but how can I not hate him?

Oh my! I feel the same way! I still have the tape when Ohio State ripped his kneecap apart, that was ugly!
On a perfectly legal hit I will add!
His knee cap was so far to the inside it was baad!!!!!
Hey George Carlin says Football is a war! Don't sign up if you cannot play!

I'm probably a bit biased since Clark played at LSU, but I thought it was text book takle.

He didn't lead with his helmet.
Yeah their head hit before anything else, but it looked more like he throwing a shoulder at him.

That is the way I would want my DBs to hit a ball carrier across the middle.

Agree 100% he led with his shoulder, the timing was just off and they hit helmet to helmet.

BTW Steelers open as an even 7 point favorite over Arizona. Discuss.

I'm all in on my boy Kurt then -I've doubted them every step of the way so far.... and look what's happened.

My initial feeling is watch out. The familiarity amongst the coaching staffs and Arizona's ability to handle the blitz concern me(as a Steeler fan).

OTOH, it could just be time for the clock to strike midnight on Cinderella. Theye were 8-8 for a reason and it's tough betting against a team with a dominant defense.

If I had to pick right now I'd say the Steelers win but fail to cover.

Never, ever doubt Kurt Warner. Dude's whole career is like a movie script. I followed his career when I lived in STL. So long as his loudmouth wife stays out of the picture, I'm happy as hell for him.

I agree, but I've also seen far less hits result in flags. That's the problem with the "helmet-to-helmet" rule in the first place.

To me, it's football. Unless a guy is blatantly spearing someone it's not a penalty. But now that they have this rule they need to be more consistent in enforcing it.

BTW, are there two Polamalus out there? The guy is everywhere.

Roughing the kicker - I don't think so.

one of the stupidest calls i have ever seen

I agree; this was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Total flop job by Berger - who otherwise played a really crappy game. (He did have a nice tackle on Leonhard's punt return though...)

But, while we're on the subject of flopping, let's not forget the 15 yarder the Ravens were given in the first half when one of the Baltimore DLinemen was "thrown to the ground" by Kemouatu. Also a total flop..... Of course, Kemouatu was just returning fire after the Ravens player was trying to push his head off his shoulders - THAT should have been the penalty called.....

Yeah, but at least Kemouatu actually touched the guy. :p

Actually, they were 9-7.

I agree, though, that in big games I'll bet on the team with the better defense. Arizona has beaten those odds, so far, so it'll be interesting to see if they can do it, again.

If I'm the Cards I don't waste many downs even pretending to try and run the ball. Spread the Steelers out as often as possible, and hope to hit a couple of home runs with Fitzgerald and Boldin. To me, that's their best shot.

I don't see AZ marching 15 plays in 7-8 minutes against the Steelers defense. They'll have to hit a few big plays and hope it is enough. That worked for PIT against the Seahawks.
