Homage? They seem to be expanding pretty rapidly and might want some exposure online.
I wasn't familiar with them, but I like their Giving page. Just sent an email to their orders/general address. If anyone has specific contents, that's even better.

I just encounter a video ad that played audio without prompting. It was in the right side of the AdMonkey advertisement and was a political ad for Ricky Gill. The end of it indicated it was from Mixpo video advertising.

I think I've attached a screen cap for it.

Very helpful info (the attachment is a Word .doc, so I haven't touched that), I'll go looking for it now. Thank you.

Oh, right. I don't have any useful software on this computer, so I pasted the screen cap into the Word document.

I am getting a number of ads that pop up at the bottom of my screen. Sometimes they are taking over the screen. The last one tonight was a Chase add. Thoughts? This is occurring on my IPad.

Same here. Not that I would bank with Chase, but they are making my decision much easier.

Sparc, it happens on an ipad or other mobile device for you as well? Mobile ads are handled differently, so if it's isolated there it might be easier for me to track down.

Bri, when those ads appear, are there Chase ads elsewhere (in the top leaderboard, or in the right side wide skyscrapers, or in the AdMonkey 300x250 positions? Those pops are always going to be tied to one of the normal loads, so knowing where it's coming from would also help.

Thanks, all. The bad ad dance never seems to end.

Chase ad is happening with my iPad as well. Takes over the whole screen. I don't see any Chase ads anywhere else on the page when it happens, either. Makes BP pretty much unreadable on my iPad. :(

Yup... Popup on the iPad but not on the iPhone. There are two that are popping up, both Chase related. The 'big' one on most page loads and then a couple of them have hit only the bottom of the page. Bri and i have the same thing going on.

Thanks Clarity!

I'm getting the same thing with the Chase ads.

Whoever invented those persistent banners that disappear when you scroll and pop back up when you stop can DIAF. I loathe when I'm forced to navigate to a Yahoo site on a mobile device because they use those kind of ads like a mofo.

Okay, I see where it's coming from, and I've contacted the source.

And yes, that's invasive as it gets. Really pisses me right the hell off. Sorry all. Don't know why these advertisers can't respect simple rules and boundaries.

--edit--
Angry emails are off. Unfortunately they won't see them until they come in tomorrow, and because I'm unable to provide more information than "here's what's happening, here's the ad position it's coming through, and here's a picture of it", they're going to have a very tough time tracking it down. Still, we *will* get this resolved.

--edit2--
Actually, looks like some changes were made to the ad position in question and I might have access myself. Can't find it, but I'm just turning off big blocks of ads to see if/when it goes away. Should be gone by tomorrow.

--edit3--
I haven't been able to track it down, I've got emails off to the proper source (not the one that got angry emails earlier and wasn't the true point of origination, just a pass-through -- woops).

Saw another one this morning, same sort of thing, in Spanish no less for Honey Nut Cheerios.

I'm on top of both, I expect they'll be gone as soon as the changes propagate through their ad system (2-3 hours).
