I don't know if this has been mentioned before but this happens every so often when using chrome. When I get done viewing a thread I go to the top of the page to click the forums tab, whatever banner ad is up at the time will open in a new window and BP will not take me back to the main forum page. This will go on and on unless I refresh the page. Just letting you know.

I don't really understand. You're clicking on the forums tab but it acts like you're clicking on an ad? Does the ad encroach somehow? Is it a specific ad?

Yes clicking the forum tab will...and it's not a regular thing...actually cause the ad from the ad box below the tabs to open in a new window. There is no visible sign of the ad invading forum tabs space.

I can't yet reproduce this. What, if any, add-ons are you running on Chrome?

And is it a specific ad that causes this?

Auto HD for youtube, Google docs, Video downloader professional.

No there isn't a specific ad. Like I said it doesn't happen very often, maybe 4 times total since the change over but the first time in awhile compared to the first three times. I wish I had more to offer. If it happens again I will open a new window and start a conversation with you.

Great, thanks. A screenshot of the ad and your mouse pointer click position would help if I'm not around.

@Clarity I tried to get more info but after these three it worked again. My mouse was in the forum area and that jeep add opened in a new window.

It's not AdSense, but it *is* a contextual ad, which is to say that it's triggering on something in your cookies/browsing history. That happens all over, of course. Visit 1800flowers or 21andme (or any of thousands of different sites) and then CNN, ESPiN, here, etc., and you'll get ads for those very sites.

The short answer is I can't do much about that specific dirty urine stained M.

@Clarity

Ad: unknown
Device/OS: Nexus 7, 4.3 & 4.4
Browser: Chrome

Past couple of weeks I've been getting an Android notification pop up about needing a virus scanner on Android. I finally captured the ad associated with the notif, it's in the attachment . I'm using Chrome on a Nexus 7. Screenshot_2013-12-03-20-03-39.png
