If he is a lottery pick, he should absolutely go and take the money. Although I love what Turner did for us this year, I don't think he will fit in the NBA quite well. He is a mediocre shooter, his whole offense is those unorthodox post moves. He is a sloppy ball handler and passer. He gets some rebounds, but I wouldn't say he is a great rebounder. That is more of a result of him playing 4. In fact, I don't think he excels at anything. Again, I hope I am wrong and he succeeds but I just don't see it.

:roll1:

You sound like you're just trying to diminish his abilities so it won't be as tough to see him leave.

That was one of the most frustrating games I have watched. Missed chances and subpar officiating just killed us. I can't lay it on the refs though, we had chancews to win it and did not get it done.

As for ET in the NBA I do not think he is ready at all. He has to learn to hold on to the ball at minimum before he is ready to be a lottery pick. This whole team needs to learn to hold on to the ball.

Really? I thought they missed the rim on the shot. But CBS switched over to Wisky here.

They did, but because Hill gained possession in order to throw it back in, the shot clock reset.

They did miss the rim, and I don't understand the call at all. If it is Sienna's ball then way the why give them 32 seconds on the shot clock? Wouldn't have been a new 35???

It was that Hill had possession when he threw it back onto the court before falling out of bounds. They counted the 3 seconds off the previous expiring clock from that point and gave the ball to Siena with 32 on a new shot clock.

I have never seen a call like that, where they consider the opposing team to have possession while trying to control the ball after the rebound, for purposes of re-setting the shot clock. Never. Was beside myself when they stopped play to review it and that was the outcome. Big ass call in that juncture of the game.

I have seen many instances of the opposing player clearly securing possession of the rebound with full control, and the refs still calling a shot clock violation and awarding it to the rebounding team moments after the rebound.

After they regained possession from Hill throwing it back in, 3 seconds elapsed before they called the shot clock violation, which was reversed.

did anyone else notice on Lauderdale's free throw attempt with about 4:30 left in regulation that there seemed to be an obvious lane violation? i was watching specifically because of the hitch in his shot. they never showed a replay or was mentioned by the announcers so i'm not positive. i know sienna got the board and i think it may have even been the violator.

The only call I really got upset about was (I thought) a pretty clear lane violation on one of Lauderdale's FT trips. I think Turner got away with one on his first three pointer. The replay they showed as they went to commercial looked like half his foot was over the line.

Did you watch the play?

So you DON'T want your best player attempting to do his best?

Sure the 20/20 hindsight look at the play shows he should have passed, but what did it look like to him all night long?

And yes you were being very harsh and pretty unfair too IMO. Sometimes you need a guy to take the game over. Sometimes I wish Turner would have been more of a ballhog since he was the only one seemingly willing to attack the rim all season long.

Nah it was a good 3. He had about an inch or so (if we are thinking of the same shot)....

Yeah, no Hightower, so it was an improvement over what we are used to. :wink2:

Word. Evan's game isn't complete, but don't dog him when he misses a play. There's four other guys out there on the court with him that could take some of the load off Evan's shoulders.
