#6 Tennessee +4.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 134.5 ) Fri 7:07 ET, CBS

I believe a real key to UT's dominance down low was that the refs established early on they weren't going to tolerate any contact by OSU whatsover, and UT was bringing it hard enough to force contact every time. The refs dictated the style of game and it threw the Bucks off their game from the get-go: then they couldn't recuperate and hit ANY shots, so I'm surprised it was as close as it was.

+1. It's preposterous to say we played well enough to win that game; we didn't. It's equally preposterous to ignore that we got legitimately fucked in the ass by the way the game was officiated. We can't complain too much about losing because we got manhandled down low and on the boards, and some of our key players didn't come through. But we did get fucked . . . in . . . the . . . ass . . . by the officials.

Agree. There were a few times where he didn't even jump to try and get a rebound and the Tenn players picked it up and put it right back in.

I recall other times when it wasn't just Lauderdale.

Let's not lay blame on certain players. Outside of Turner, this was not a good game for anyone. Turner even made some big mistakes.

As absolutely TERRIBLE as the officiating was the entire game...

...if you take a good look at the gameplan for both teams Thad got outcoached...

Ohio State's one weakness this season has been defending an athletic big guy under the bucket...

Chism "went off"...and Tennessee had nearly 50 points in the paint...

Not only that, but Pearl had his guys overplay Turner the entire game, making it very difficult for him to spread the offense and get open shots...

[censored] poor officiating, but non-the-less Thad's boys had plenty of opportunities, Bruce just had the better gameplan.

I've had it with some of your crap. Go root for Duke.

Tennessee played a hell of a game and made the plays down the stretch to win the game. Every player won't have their A game every game. Ohio State lost to a quality opponent. I'd love for them to have won but the fact is that they didn't get it done down the stretch as a TEAM.

Tennessee was able to expose Ohio State's weaknesses and yes, I think they wore the Buckeyes down. Open shots stopped dropping with about 10 minutes left in the game. Best of luck to the Vols. They're a solid team.

Before the season started I think the majority of us said the Sweet 16 was the goal, we got spoiled with what we got this season, disappointing ending, but this is a great bunch of kids and we will get most of them back. Great effort by ET, thank you ET for everything if you dont get the POTY this league is a joke. Great year boys, One more :oh:

The talk of losers.

If it makes you feel better blaming the refs and not the fact that we shot the ball poorly and could not get a rebound or stop anyone in the paint, then go for it, just quit posting this crap as it makes us Buckeye fans look like sore losers.

Yes.

I don't know how it got there, but that post is closer to a warning than an award in my book.

Folks, I know people are upset with one aspect of this or another, but player bashing won't be tolerated.
Then blame me. I'm not running from it.

I will ask again: Did Diebler (or Lauderdale) score in the 2nd half? If they did, I missed it. When you only play 5 guys and 2 are off, you are in deep, deep trouble.

has any team ever lost because of shitty officiating then? me being slightly less biased than the rest of you still saw some terrible no calls on that fat fucker.

you should only ever have to play well enough to win by 1, and I think if they call any of the 15 fouls on that piece of shit that went uncalled Ohio State would have done that.

Tennessee has played well in some big games this year and beat a number of high ranked teams. They have also been run out of the building just as often. When they are on they are one of the hardest teams to beat.

I am not surprised at all that they beat us and I was very worried about having to face them especially if they were hot.

Lots of us noticed those facts, and calling OSU players "useless" is not a "great post" by any definition.
