As absolutely TERRIBLE as the officiating was the entire game...

...if you take a good look at the gameplan for both teams Thad got outcoached...

Ohio State's one weakness this season has been defending an athletic big guy under the bucket...

Chism "went off"...and Tennessee had nearly 50 points in the paint...

Not only that, but Pearl had his guys overplay Turner the entire game, making it very difficult for him to spread the offense and get open shots...

[censored] poor officiating, but non-the-less Thad's boys had plenty of opportunities, Bruce just had the better gameplan.

Odd to see a post that includes insightful thoughts such as Diebler "playing like hell" and Lauderdale being "absolutely useless" achieve "Great Post" status. Would love to hear the rational behind this one.

Peace.

I believe a real key to UT's dominance down low was that the refs established early on they weren't going to tolerate any contact by OSU whatsover, and UT was bringing it hard enough to force contact every time. The refs dictated the style of game and it threw the Bucks off their game from the get-go: then they couldn't recuperate and hit ANY shots, so I'm surprised it was as close as it was.

Good analysis

I rarely post, but when something upsets me I do.

Our big men got out hustled. Lauderdale looked like he was half-assing everything.

Madsen has to have the worst hands in the entire world. I honestly get so excited like 3 times a game when you see him do something right. It's sad that it's only 3 times a game. His hands were the death of us.

Well glad I get to watch Comedy Central now. Heres to hoping ET comes back next season for a huge run. Diebler was off tonight which hurt us in the long run. All and all Tenn put out a better performance and with all the seniors you could tell they were hungry and wanted it more.

Everyone who gave TheRob shit about being a Duke fan should rep him for this comment. He encapsulated OSU's effort in this one fucking sentence.

Perhaps you missed my rationale on the same page, I will quote it here. Diebler and Lauderdale were non-existent. When you only play 5 guys and 2 aren't contributing, you are in trouble.

Yes.

I don't know how it got there, but that post is closer to a warning than an award in my book.

Folks, I know people are upset with one aspect of this or another, but player bashing won't be tolerated.
