Im glad OSU got the win but this team has to get better if they think they are going to compete against the top tier teams. The foul shooting is just absurd. They need to make foul shoots coming down the stretch, this seems to be a common problem for OSU.

My initial thoughts on the game are this was a great learning experience for the young guys and also it exposed our biggest weakness thus far....our lack of perimeter defense, we are a step or two away from getting into position and then we break down fundamentally on the defensive rotation. You can bet we will see the screener popping out on the perimeter a lot this year, especially if we do not get it fixed.

I will give Indiana some credit, they fought hard and hit some wide open three pointers......bring on Illinois. First test on the road in the Big Ten....lets see if they learned anything from UNC and Florida.

How good is Conley? He is unbelievable for a true freshman. Cook needs to play more minutes and once he learns to move his feet on defense, he will. With each game, Oden gets a little bit healthier and I thought he looked a little bit better conditioned out there. Every day is a learning experience for this young team.....they have a big hurdle on Saturday.

Oden with a huge block.
Somehow there is a trademark phrase that has to go with a block like that ... something that sounds powerful, and in a play on words, Mythic, even god-like.

Oden, Thad, Thor, Matta, Hammer.

In there somewhere is the making of a great catch phrase.

Oden - Bringing down The Hammer

Dare I say that we have a lot of work to do just to win the B10 let alone compete for a NC. There is a lot of time left for us to mature so I'm by no means saying that we won't be there at the end. But as of right now, we're overrated.

Conley is the total package. I'm going to steal a nickname from my youth that was given to my all time favorite point guard, Andre Turner (Memphis State - sorry, born and raised in Memphis, here). Conley is our 'Little General'. Conley is such an thrilling player to watch.

I just wish Lewis could get it going... come on Ron!

Indiana shot out of their ass. Yes the perimeter D was shaky, but they were making what seemed like everything.

Ohio State always kills its own momentum, maybe because they're young or something, I'm not sure. But everytime we start to separate with runs we give up multiple points back to back to back etc.

The crowd turned it on really loud at times, but it's still not consistent enough. The "student section" will never be in synch, because half of the students are at one basket and the other half is behind the other.

We survived Indiana's best game, so I'm happy. We're still very very young, so we can only get better.
