360 NCAA10 Movie Team Dynasty

Nope, I returned it to continue the rental rounds, I'm onto Halo ODST right now.

1) Check out slickdeals to find the best deal. They had it for $35 on black friday.

2) You might want to learn the difference between COD4 & MW2, or it could be a very sad holiday season for you.

Just simmed to the offseason offline...

Springfield has a salty pair of veteran dual threats. Payne and glover are stud rbs, shuler is ok at wr, berry is fast but 70 ovr. Springfield had to take walkons at ol, two at DT.

Olb Kent, mlb Perkins are strong lb pickups.

Hoover, your 5 star te only improved 1 pt again

You are stacked at rb, but hurting at qb, other than jpw. Two 91 and one 93 spd wr, all soph and can catch.

You may have been snubbed by most bluechip bama kids, but DT Noel is a stud. Barber is a good corner but a jr.

Bayside added a billionth stud rb in odom. Needed 2 walkons at wr, one was an 82 overall! (those change for every offseason) flash Thomas sure got bigger and a lot whiter. Walkon at c, de, olb.

 That would mean that I don't get any OL or DL that I've been on since day one. Figures. I added 2 more OL to my recruit list last night that aren't very highly rated. I was beginning to figure I need to hedge my bets. I wonder if your sim included those guys or not.

I don't know what the deal is with my recruiting DTs. I picked up 1 stud DT in the first season and now I can't pick up any more. I've got 2 of them graduating this year so playing time shouldn't be an issue. If anything, it should be an advantage.

Interesting. If my thinking is correct, then Kent might be the project OLB that I was targeting as a possible move to DE.

Do you remember how I did with CBs?

When playing the computer i almost always use quarter defense package controlling the mlb or middle safety. It seems to work pretty well if you bring both of the other safetys in to help in run support (show blitz). I believe it works well because i have some pretty good DE's and one good DT.

My sim would not include any additions from this week, I don't get those updates until after we advance. Also, sometimes other users don't recruit well if they have recruiting assistance turned off. ****WARNING: do not have recruiting assistance on, this is why all of my recruiting targets went to 10th place in week 4 of the offseason.

Same here, but even with my pretty talented defense, it can be tough to get off the field.

Now running this defense all day against a user is probably cheesing, but anything is fair against the cpu imo.

Btw, as expected, I lost to FSU last night. My RB fumbled after catching a pass for a first down while driving around their 30 yard line. My QB was intercepted on their side of the field, though that one was probably my bad. I ran an option and they picked it and returned it for a TD. It wasn't a bad pitch and they gave me no chance to tackle the guy.

Also, Corso suggested I run a QB sneak from about the 2 yard line. I didn't realize it is now a scripted dive play (first time I've run it) and came up way short. Throw in distractions from the kids and I had little chance.

The CPU ran out the clock on me at will. Even by properly guessing where they would run they still gained good yardage against me. I've never before had such trouble trying to stop the run. This does not appear to bode well for me as I am slated to face Georgia Tech in my next game.

Oh well, lets get this week advanced so I can attempt another impossible upset on the road.

Oh, and why is it that every time I have to play a key road game against the CPU it's always raining? That type of BS and causes my guys to drop wide open passes that they would otherwise catch. I dropped 4-6 easy ones last night, several would have been for first downs or better.

What defense do you use to stop the run?

ACC/SEC-east country is monsoon country in this game.

I have pretty solid DL and LBs so a standard 4-3 usually works great. Just didn't last night. I even super-simmed some of the play to see if the PC-DC could handle it, and he failed as well.

Must be, but every single big road game? that just seems a bit far-fetched to me. I'll tell you what, if I go to GT and see a rainy game, I might try a start over or 2 to see if I can decent weather. It's not like the #2 team in the country needs a weather advantage against my team.

Sometimes I resort to the quarter D, DL pinched in, back 7 brought up to press, and controlling the safety with the least coverage responsibilities.

Out of the 4-3, I usually need my safety to fill well to stop it at 3-5 yards. If I don't play it well, they often pound it down my throat.

I normally control a DE, sometimes a DT. I'm pretty good at shooting the occasional gap and stuffing the runner.

I'm beginning to think I need to play more as a safety or LB to better defend the pass though. Who knows, maybe it will help y run D too.

Playing DL is the best way to disrupt a play, but a safety helps you get outside and contain the play. It's pretty hard to blitz the computer in this game, unless you have a zone or 7 dbs behind you.

Good to know... I usually run man coverage with only a cover1 or cover2. I tried using a few zone blitzes last night but they didn't appear to be too effective. Maybe I'll have to try with some quarters defense.

So when do you think we'll be able to advance next? It looked as though most users had byes this week, and I know I finished my game last night.

Zone blitzes are iffy. The ones I like are out of the dime 3-2-6 package. Then I often control one of the blitzers to manipulate the defense a bit. The cover two out of that package is solid as well. The Nickel 1-5-5 used to be effective but they tweaked it so it was less dominant.

I checked late last night, and I think we had 1 or 2 user games left. I think we'll advance tonight.
