I was hoping for a comfortable win, but this is going to help this teams growth...
I could say something about every player, but most of us already know what would be said, but I do want to mention Lighty and his 4 point spurt in the second half after we got down. It was clutch and was great for him step up like that...
As for the Refs, alot of the fouls that Purdue collected that made the foul descrepsency was when Conley was driving down the lane and they were riding him. He caused 4 of them in the first 5 minutes or so in the first half, then you have to take into account that Purdue had to foul 3 times down the stretch to be able to get the ball back.
If anything there were a couple questionable no calls or bad calls against Oden, but he is going to have to adjust his game accordingly as JO already mentioned...
Either way lots of positives to take out of this one...

I had to get the game 2nd hand but I noted we scored about 10 points less than our average so the D had to step up I guess. WE do need to start being consistant on our threes. we can't afford to rest on our laurels in the Big Dance.

Fwiw over the last 3 games we have shot 16 of 54 thats less that 33%. we have one player, Cook, over 40% in 3 pt. for the season. I am alarmed at this when I am considering how far we can go in the Tourney.crazybuckfan40;747482; said:Here is the thing, we have all seen Butler, Cook, Lewis hit these shots with great consistency...While they have all struggled some as of late, they will be back. Then throw in a guy like Conley who seems to be shooting the ball a lot better than he was early in the season and you have 4 guys that can get hot on any given night.
When you play in a physical conference you can start to lose your legs and you shots arent dropping like they once were, but the thing is Butler and Lewis have been thru this b4 so they are going to be the guys that we are going to need to lean on to start hitting these shots and I think they will.

We can only support the men and hope they get some strentgh back in their legs. So bring on the rest of the reg season and keep kicking butt.
Do you think they wil get Oden a tear away jersey? i would like to see it.

Hey I remember that happening in the dance once. shorts were stretched clear out to busting and the trailing ref didn't call it. Maybe Matta needs to get a T over it to get them to start calling it.crazybuckfan40;747518; said:Then they will just start holding onto his shorts...
I if the refs are going to start taking note of this or if they are going to continue to let it go on...
