There is a difference between 24 being canceled and 24 not being produced for another season. This is a classic attempt of someone trying to bump up the traffic at Buckeye Planet.

What's the difference? Yes, everyone does need to watch so the show won't get cancelled. It's my favorite and Kim and Renee still haven't made out. If Fox does cancel it, hopefully NBC will pick it up and they won't water it down.

As I understand it; cancelled means it gets removed from TV virtually immediately and something fills its slot. Not being extended means the current season will finish and not have new episodes next January.

I loved 24 the first few seasons; but I am not addicted like I use to be. I still watch it, but, meh.

It's Official

'24' to end this season; film version in the works | EW.com

Fox confirmed today that after eight seasons, 24 will air its series finale on May 24. Star Kiefer Sutherland told EW.com that producing a ninth season for another network like NBC was not an option because he and executive producer Howard Gordon were ready to call it quits.

Damn - well, hopefully they make a movie, but I've never been to a 24 hour movie before?

Yeah, 24 has definitely ran it's course. I had high hopes for this season and it essentially just dropped back into the same plot lines and lousy writing. The whole parole office story was just plain stupid. I was hoping that he'd just go away after the EMP--but no, now another terrorist in CTU. They must have the absolute worst security clearance screening on the planet. It took me almost 6 months to get my Top Secret/SCI clearance investigation completed.

The parole officer was just looking for his red stapler.

They had better start wrapping this thing up with all of these subplots that they have going. I would like to see it finished with some class. I agree that this season has been the worst of all of them.
