This is the first season that I have watched since the season 1 and I think it is pretty painful to watch. The acting sucks - Chloe alone almost makes the show unwatchable. I keep hoping it will get better, but this is definintely the last season I ever waste my time on.

I may finally be able to admit that 24 has jumped the shark, after those scenes with the autistic character Brady, which were accompanied by some of the cheesiest soap-opera backing music I've ever heard. I'd missed the last couple episodes, and coming back to this tripe may have ruined this season for me. Jack's still a badass and all, but the rest of it is just too melodramatic.

Very good point, unless they focused on the actual day that Jack was trying to take them down, after months of investigating done outside of the season.

If they did this, I would hope (1) they have a terrorist plot going on back at CTU and (2) resist the urge to tie the two storylines together (the guy Jack is pursuing just happens to be the terrorist) except for Jack calling CTU for help.

I have my doubts that such a plot can be worked into the 24 framework.

I would guess it would take place a year or two down the road from this season where he has had time to investigate and has really learned most of the info and now he is just executing it. He has two reason to get back at the chinese at this point anyway....one for this chick and then for the shit that they did to him. They could also go more into the issues that Jack seemed to be dealing with at the beginning of the season, maybe even show us a bit through flashbacks of what kind of torture they put him through. Overall it would be a great change of pace from the last two seasons.

We should be so lucky: President Palmer (D.B. Woodside) in a coma.

swapContent('firstHeader','applyHeader');By Robert Bianco, USA TODAY
Some days you just wish would end already.
Alas, no such luck with Fox's 24. Counting tonight's episode, there are still nine hours to go in what is turning out to be the show's worst day ever, one many viewers seem to be watching more out of duty than pleasure.
Considering that last year's 24 run was one of TV's best, this year's collapse is a more shocking twist than any the plot has provided so far. After a strong opening, the show almost immediately lost its way, lurching from one unsatisfying set-piece to another, with plots and characters that range from the recycled to the ridiculous. I finally talked my wife into stop watching this piece of shit show.:banger:

You know for a person who talks big and has that lovely avatar, no really it speaks volumes of you, it is pretty funny that you have to convince your wife to not watch the show so you won't be subjected to such "shit"

If it was so bad, don't watch. Not a hard concept.
