I pulled out the stopwatch. From the time when Mrs. Suvarov said "Tell me the details" to the time when the Markov refused the order, I counted 31 seconds. So, in those 31 seconds:

Martha explained what was happening to Mrs. Suvarov
Mrs. Suvarov convinced Mr. Suvarov to intervene
Mr. Suvarov gave the order to Markov.

Also keep in mind that Suvarov in some way talked with Buchanon since he knew Buchanon's name and was also on the line with him.

Impressive.

I thought the dialogue b/t Milo and Schroeder was cheesy. I did not find Little Ricky believable. And why was Chloe alone with Mr. President? That made no sense.

Last week, when Bauer marched right toward Gredenko's door (just prior to the Russians' blowing it open on top of him) BEFORE spilling ALL details to CTU was downright humorous. Then this week, it never occurs to him that the guy he sends after a secure phone MIGHT bring back some muscle. No...don't even think of placing the two Russians up against the door...that might delay the muscle. And once again, a 9-mil pistol prevails against 2 or 3 automatic weapons.

The suspension of disbelief stuff is pretty heavy.

Last Mondays episode was decent, although we only assume that Logan is dead now.

Sad to have Palmer's sis back, and she will have speaking lines.

One of the reasons I enjoy the show is that it usually doesn't fall to the PC police, but I have missed something.

The Chinese are bad guys and thats OK by me.

Russians are bad guys and thats OK by me.

But, every time a middle eastern country is involvee, the country goes unnamed. gah.

There I said it. Now I will continue in my suspension of reality.

CTU is depending on a mentally handicapped person to catch Grdenko? Right.

I thought the episode was pretty good tonight. My only critique is that I do not see Wayne Palmer waking from the coma and going straight into his Presidencial duties. I thought they were just gonna wake him for long enough to make the decision, not return to normal.

Ak, so the President was a little groggy at the time, but Karen Hayes should have told him to have that 'stand down' call to the VP done on speaker-phone, so the other cabinet members/joint chiefs heard what was said.

Of course, that wouldn't have allowed next week's power struggle.

Worst. Episode. Ever.

Absolutely. This show (which was once one of the best on TV) has gotten ridiculously stupid/bad. It's so terrible that I know I'll be glued to the TV next week to see if it can actually get worse. On a positive note, I was amazed at Kiefer Sutherland's acting job in the last episode. How he was able to keep a straight face during his scenes with Corky Thatcher is beyond comprehension. Seriously, this show is complete garbage right now.

It has gotten pretty bad. And now next week it looks llike Jack is going to trust yet another terrorist to help him get the other one....come on really.

I am holding out hope that next years goes the way that they hinted at and that is Jack goes to China to find that one chicks killer. At least then it will be two things that I think works best, No nuke attacks and jack against the world, rather than a bunch of fucknuts is his way.

I couldn't agree more. The second they hinted at that plot, my interest increased a ton.
