I don't expect him to be a top-10 pick. Usually they are drafting for upside or special skills that high. Not sure how he gets from where he is now to that point. Re: James has the option to opt out of the deal for the 2024-25 season which is for $50,625,000. The contract includes a 15% trade kicker–a bonus equal to 15% of the remaining value of the deal–that James will be paid if the Lakers decide to trade him.
Yeah, I guess James could opt out of his Lakers contract and agree to sign with a team that would draft his son, etc.; however, it would undoubtedly cost him millions. I think it is more likely that the Lakers somehow acquire Bronny or Lebron just signs as a free agent with the team that has the rights to Bronny for the 2025/2026 season..

I wonder how much it could bump Bronny's draft stock if dad says he'll sign for the league minimum with whoever drafts his son? Lebron with fumes in the tank is still better than 80% of the NBA.
