2026 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

Maybe you're right, that they don't care.
But I think it's also a combination of
1. The advanced scouting wasn't any advantage. They just did it for fun. Stalions did it all by himself and you can't prove he was talking to the DC's or HC. And even if you can prove it, it still didn't give them any advantage. Also, it's the other teams' fault for not changing their signals.
and
2. Everyone does it. Go after Ohio State. The password to their network was probably easy to hack. Ryan Day's brother cheated.

Edit - My point is that they think their success for those 3 years is because of their superior head coach (who wasn't "superior" for 6 years before that) and they had a generational quarterback (who has looked like he is the quarterback of the Browns of recent years).
Huh?

Would love to get real story about Portnoy losing his piece of Michigan liver, but don’t want to join x to do it. What’s the buzz on the Ann Arbor Annoyer?

Barstool was Fox's response to Pat McAfee.

Barstool's trolling bro humor plays well in online communities, but not on mainstream tv.

McAfee is bro humor but built more for mainstream audiences.

I think it just didn't work for Fox.

Portnoy's only thing he seems to have is trolling Day and OSU, which probably pissed off OSU, and they flexed some muscle. Protecting one's image this day and age is huge.

It over all probably wasn't landing and it was a easy business decision for Fox.

Just my guess.

Jeremiah Smith also has a real QB throwing him the ball. I'm sure it isn't all the WRs fault. Give them the kid from Illinois, and I'm sure they would be better. Hopefully they never do.
I think more than the QB, its the scheme. I've been telling this to a number of scUM fans I work with. Utah wasn't set up to be a passing spread offense. Its an RPO, spread wide and create mismatches in the run game. Its actually suited for Underwood's athleticism, but when the QB throws, he better be accurate and able to read the defense and know when to take the top off. Something he cannot do. I'm sure the passing game would be better under Carr, but the offense wouldn't run the way Beck wants

That’s the biggest difference between Portnoy and McAfee - Portnoy just screams and trolls, he has no charm. He’s way too combative for mainstream tv. Unable to provide legitimate analytics and respectful discord with athletes, coaches, and colleagues on counter arguments. He’s too arrogant for a couple-hour-long segment. Taking away my bias, he still has no redeeming qualities to draw in audiences, and it’s why he’s more successful on quick Twitter rants.

My only add to that is the idea that everyone/everything is placed in media now to piss you off or otherwise trigger you, So The thought could have been as simple as this for Fox:

OSU and tsun are our biggest brands
Portnoy is tsun personified so they will love him and everyone else will hate him. We don't really care because everyone will be engaged.

It's bringing the OSU/tsun rivalry to the off field stuff, like pro wrestling.
Storylines and such.

Yep all those qualities play well in twitterverse and not on Fox Sports. The reason Bar sports worked is that it was like a group of friends talking crap to each other.

How Fox thought that something like that would play on mainstream media is anybody's guess.

He obviously is not comfortable watering down his persona for national tv, and being that he is the poster child for the brand they had to use him.

Ironically when he talks business he is well spoken and thoughtful.
