There was a time where I would see a Michigan fan out in the world and give him a smile and a nod on the day they just beat Penn State. "Yes, I hate you.....but thanks for beating those fucks." There was hatred but respect for the rivalry.

That seems so far in the past....and it'll never come back. They ruined that.....which is pretty significant if you think about it.

A lot of the narrative was that Ohio State should get some form of death penalty. Meanwhile when it comes to scUMs cheating it has mostly been laughed off as "no big deal" and they constantly go out of their way not to talk about it as much as possible and only fluff up Michigan.

FWIW - the amount of stuff I've heard over the years about UGA speeding tickets vs actual program malfeasance in Ann Arbor is astounding.

They got lucky Whittingham fell into their laps to help them maintain some form of "stability" for a couple of years, but they are going to just continue on the pre cheating path where 3+ loss seasons are the norm and they aren't really a serious national threat at all.
