We definitely cheated.
Not everyone cheated.
When we learned about the cheating, we covered it up, but not every time.
I'm half expecting a corum llc admission next

Exactly how many arrests and suspensions over so many years within the department does it take for misconduct to be considered "widespread"?

When you read these puff pieces in the sports media about how complicated or just mildly off things were but no one could have done any better-it's just UM holding up their part of the buyout through one of their media mouth pieces.

Just because it wasn't "widespread" (according to them) doesn't mean there wasn't a lack of institutional control within the football program.

Too soon old, too late smart
Was going to say that the NCAA/UX let the cheating slide, and fired their AD because a coach was boinking an intern/female co-worker. Sounds a bit bas-akwards to me. But who's judging? And letting him stay around for another 5 or so months seems a bit ridiculous. Maybe put him out to pasture with five months salary/benefits, but keep him in his office? Maybe he's got a minder or somesuch? And that's a high academic school?

To put them into perspective. Had they dealt with tatgate, they would have scrubbed Tressel's emails off the server, bought off the grad student with a nice post-doc fellowship and nobody would have known except Tressel, the grad student, Smith and Gee.

Well, not exactly. They would've used a hacker off reddit to scrub the email....who would've been caught, bought off the grad student with public venmo payments, and somebody would've found out about Beanie LLC, a VCR repair service located in Nevada.
