You don't see Cam Rising when you look at Underwood?Underwood doesn’t like getting hit. He’s not going to be effective on the Utah system of the past few years.

That’s what I’m betting on too. I find it difficult for the OC to all of the sudden be a spread, pass heavy or even more balanced in one year. Especially since athletically Underwood is superior to any QB he’s had, also a QB who is not built to run as a primary run threat. he would be more successful in a spread offense. Marshall should be the happiest offensive player. I’d be pissed to be a WR
Which is exactly why you'll see Patricia employ the 3rd "safety" more like a fast outside linebacker when they play in November...unless something significantly changes between now and then. The only system Underwood is really currently fit for is handing it off more often than not. You aren't gonna be successful airing it out with him either with his accuracy issues.
WRs are gonna be pissed anyway. Last year 3 of Utahs top 5 pass catchers were TEs or RBs and the #2. WR only had 15 catches. After the #1 WR the ball pretty much goes to TEs and RBs

They aren't beating Oklahoma without being able to pass the ball either....or Oregon. Or Iowa. Or likely Indiana.
I think they are more likely to go 7-5 than 9-3...and the chances of them getting into the playoffs are around the same as me banging Sydney Sweeney....
And the new staff isn't as beholden to his aura (if that's the right word)....it will be far easier for them to say "well, we tried, he sucks" and go to that other kid that seems to fit their scheme better.I don't see much changing. Whittingham and staff aren't exactly gurus when it comes to developing passers. If Underwood were serious about improving himself he woulda transfered but instead he's holding the bag at scUM to play in a offense that's probably less friendly in terms of getting a QB to the pros than the Sherrona Harbaugh offense.
