2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

Hopefully he can make those improvements because he did play a lot better. Ideally, I'd still have him at guard and Padilla (if good enough) at center because Hinzman looked great there and it gives the center another guy who has experience making calls right next to him.

'25 is going to be a lot of fun on offense. They won't be as efficient, but probably more explosive and flexible.
I could see it going either way and I want Padilla out there. The lost metric may be that some level of rotation on the OL when you can get it likely helps with a longer season. Get all of them in that are ready to play.

That said, I want the veteran at center if the snap can be fixed (and usually it can). Padilla can also jump in at guard, I'm excited to see him on the field more often either way.

If true.... this is awesome. Can address some development concerns that may come with Bowen only having 3 years experience coaching the offensive line.

IF. Being the operative word, because Menace is literally the only site openly sharing this info. And that's what worries me. Not one credible source has gone on record to say this is happening. But it could be similar to the Buckeyescoop with the 1st sharing of Hartline to OC, definitely a broken clock scenario

of course the more heavyweights (pun intended) day brings into the program the better. just look at MoC.

maybe i’m splitting hairs here, having zero concerns about bentley’s tremendous experience adding value, but having recruiting and player development (one on one training) and coaching (a whole room) chops are different things, no?

in either case, it seems that those needs, wether they’re the same skill competencies or not, will all be covered on the offensive side of the ball. and that’s a good thing.

Idk..... even though both pods do act through clickbait, both parties actually have coached (Smith) and played/coached (Barton) inside the program, so they really do have inside connections, at least as it relates to the OSU football team. I get that they have been wrong as well.

Many programs have hired Bentley's company to assist on a consult basis, where he trains players/teams. It may be something along those lines.

That is why I also said "if true" lol. Had to give myself a out.

His compact and quick release is about the best I have seen. Throw that in with quick play comprehension and obviously the arm strength/accuracy, and you get why he was rated so highly coming in (and why other QBs left). I don't care about his size frankly, the kid has insane potential and taking over the reigns at QB1 from the start will allow him to settle into that role quickly.
Bruh, Stroud was here only 2 years ago. His release/arm strength combo was about as good as it gets

Can’t say I agree. They are both obnoxious, but Barton makes so many noises during his show while drinking, burping, etc. Unlistenable. He is also more insulting to players and staff without providing as much support for his conclusions as ZS.
I like both podcasts because between my commute or exercise, I can pretty much count on at least a hour of entertainment that is OSU centered.

Smith is bombastic for sure. Drew is funny.

I know what you are saying about Barton's breathing. I think he mentioned that he starts the pod following his afternoon stairmaster exercise routine. Lol
