2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

I have a bit different understanding of the delay, but perhaps I missed something. In the early days, TCUN repeatedly indicated that they would fight the NCAA in court, with the apparent blessing of their President. The fan base went all in. The head coach and then the University refused to cooperate, pretending that it all revolved around an improper meal at first and then around only Stalions stealing signs, when in reality it involves federal level computer hacking crimes and a massive abuse of student university and private records and athletic training resources.

So, I understood that the prudent way forward for the NCAA would be to cross every t and dot every i, so that a legal challenge to their penalties could not be grounded in some procedural issue. Not a day early. Every chance to respond. No chance to escape punishment.

if a postseason ban is coming they'd be smart to just take it this year and get it over with. They aren't sniffing the playoff, not that they are in the future either but if Underwood sticks around and it's only a 1 year ban they'd at least theoretically have a better chance in 2026. The longer they drag this mess out too the longer it will keep effecting them when it comes to recruiting as well;.
It had damn well better be a 2-3 year ban (which in the playoff/portal/nil era might as well be the death penalty). We got a one year ban while we turned ourselves in, cooperated completely and ran the coach...also we weren't a repeat offender and our violations were a fraction what tcun has committed.

Over the years, I've gone from someone who would watch just about any sports event telecast to someone whose focus seems to have narrowed to college football, especially Ohio State football. Now I'm telling myself that I have to withdraw from college football. (It probably won't happen, b ut I sure think it.)

I don't know if this step of paying athletes directly was inevitable. What if colleges had collectively decided to pay athletes years ago, prior to NIL? Would that have led to something involving reasonable amounts of money? Probably not.

I simply cannot escape that this means giving millions to athletes whose connection to education is limited. Meanwhile, I know the scale by which professors are paid. Chump change in the hands of a kid like Smith. This is a world out of whack, and I wish I didn't love the game as much as I do.

Devils advocate: may indicate that Scum has kind of an inkling of what may come down, and find it acceptable. Which may be not getting their natty stripped.

Also, it is Balas who is worthless.

scUM and the Boob Salsa type minions are going to claim anything less than the natty getting stripped as a "victory". They could get hit with 3 years of postseason bans and still would be doing a victory lap over getting to keep the natty even though literally everyone outside of the DFBIA sees it for the sham it as.,

It coming out that they definitely cheated badly but letting them keep the national title is gutless, but I get the feeling that is going to be the result. They'll get some form of hammering but somehow that title will stay on the books.

If the title remains, I really don't see a way for me to continue wasting time and money on this shit. It's absurd. It's been 15 years and we still have to deal with "HOW DEEP IT WENT" type bullshit and Devier Posey losing his entire senior season over $50 for gas money to attend a charity event where he was raising money for a good cause. Let's riot

Nah...they're fucked and they know it. The COI won't have conclusions yet from the hearing. This is just noise trying to show repentance.

Let’s riot because a random radio show reported:

1) a mention of FtM in stead of LoIC, which is completely unacceptable, and
2) the use of the conjunction “or” with talk of vacating wins and postseason bans. Anything less than “and” is an outrage

Because these crimes against humanity are so egregious, let’s forget about the fact that we have no reason to believe any of it. It’s a completely legitimate reason to make Indy look like LA
