2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Just this from yesterday...

More than a couple indications that they're back at the table, which means their response hasn't yet been submitted, which could have been the real driver behind the extension.
Outlook has gotten "worse, not better" since that first July discussion.

SouthBerg 6 Jan 2025, 2:40 pm
As in “worse” for TCUN?

premierdrum 6 Jan 2025, 2:48 pm
Yes.

Love it, but they'd better be right. This isn't Jeff Snook's act of throwing shit against the wall ("the board was backing Urban 100%" or "Tressel about to become the next President") type shit that people forgot the minute they read it. These guys had better take the rest of the decade off from the interweb tubes if cunt skates on all this.

It would make zero sense for them to get off light. You add that with the immense amount of detail that seems to check out for what they did and I bet he’s on the nose.

There’s no damn way they walk away from this with the championship and without bowl bans
That is my feeling. Had the NOA and accompanying evidence suggested minor penalties, they would have leaked it immediately and settled within a month. The fact that they're literally defying the law to delay FOI requests tells me the opposite is true. At this point, Ono is just trying to stall and delay for as long as he can in the hopes that the NCAA pulls their hair out in frustration and gives them some meaningless penalties.

Yep. Sort of the Kansas approach where they just hope they draw it out and the NCAA just quits.

They have TCUN dead to rights for what essentially is game fixing. I know people dispute it’s game fixing because it’s not the refs but when you have many of the play calls you’re fixing football games.

Any rate I wish they’d hurry up already with the penalties. Which this is still a pretty fast pace for the NCAA if you look at how they normally move.

The longer this drags out the more people (other than OSU fans) forget about it, and begin to not care about the cheating. The longer it goes the more billable hours the NCAA has to spend during the back and forth. The longer this drags on the more likely another issue forces the NCAA to share the focus of their attention. The longer that this goes on the NCAA may change the people prosecuting the case with another person who may not care as much.

Absolutely if the accusations are small and the suggested penalty was nothing serious, this would have been settled already.

NCAA's threats of adding more serious charges may be just posture to get TTUN to come to the table and settle it.

I admittedly am not sure what remedies there are for a federal appeal that TTUN has following a full hearing. If there are, they may want to re-litigate the matter through the appellate process and try to get a better deal on back end negotiation.

If the accusations get out, it becomes front page news, which makes it more difficult to settle. This goes both ways.

People need to get that NOA in the news haha.

Problem for cunt is that they have voluntarily agreed to all the rules and procedures that are in place. That's a hard lawsuit. Plus as Ono found out with his last lawsuit stunt, the adults will eventually step forward and prevent this from ever getting to the point of discovery, subpoenas and depositions under oath.

PremierDrum has connections in that area. He knows people, let's say, and used to be a rather prominent guy behind the camera at a news org.

This isn't going as fast as the ultimate/immediate satisfaction crowd wants, but that's because they need to bitch up and choose positivity. It will happen, it just takes time, especially since TCUN is stalling at every turn.

Nobody knows exactly what is happening other than Scum and the NCAA.

I am just surmising why TTUN wants to keeps fighting this.

Discovery is most likely done, but on going.

Yeah, I was just breaking out the legal defense playbook in an effort to figure out why the NOA has not been released.

PD has also implied that the media is in a tough spot where they can't report on it because of the threat of scUM legal action. They're sitting waiting for documents to be publicly available, and then you'll probably see a landside of condemnation.
I'd call their bluff. Their legal team is already way too busy trying to fight this.
