2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Their transfer portal class is very meh considering the supposed "money cannon" they were going to unleash.

They can't even pay top WRs to go there. Instead they've been losing out on Yale WR transfers to Stanford.

Their new OC (Chip Lindsey) can actually develop QBs and a passing attack, but they have low G5 skill talent outside of Marshall, a TE, and Underwood.

I'm more curious to see how their play calling and clock management evolves. Their defense relied on them running the 3rd slowest offense in the country to avoid exhaustion and limit opponent possession. I don't think they can afford to do that after spending 12 million on a QB. Unless Underwood is incredibly efficient with bad WRs, they're going to be putting even more pressure on their defense.

I honestly don't even believe their D is as sound as TTUN fans seem to think it is.

An Alabama program in transition, and a weird game plan by OSU that played into TTUN's strengths at the expense of OSU's weaknesses seems to be more about feel good bluster than about any deep seated change.

Of course old Winky will ride whatever wave there is.

The OL is still a big ? for them heading into next season as well. They have 1 incoming transfer currently and he's from the FCS, they've whiffed on all their other portal targets so far on the line.

They definitely had issues in the back 7, and when Oregon and Texas brought good gameplans with good QB play, they dismantled them and slept through the 2nd halves. A bad gameplan and Howard getting shaken up were the bigger reasons for their defensive success that day. They'll somehow still have 5 graduates and 3 seniors on their DL, but no one that stands out like the 3 they lost. Plus losing a lot in the secondary.

I have a feeling this is going to drag into the summer. No info, just a gut feeling. tCun are going to do everything in their power to prolong this as long as conceivably possible. Hopefully that just makes the NCAA sharpen their blade.
Delay is a fairly effective legal tactic. Xichigan will try to delay this as long as possible.

As much as it pains me to admit, I am actually kind of impressed that Xichigan and their ilk have been able to drag out the case this long without the details getting out. Even when they have been paid money to provide the NOA, and pretty much have to give it up.

I suspect this will be settled, and the penalties will be too much in the viewpoint of TTUN's fan base, and not nearly enough by opposing fan bases.

If they skate, then my CFB fandom, that is already hanging on by a thread will probably snap. If a program can get away with 3 years of blatant cheating, why should I give a solitary fuck about the sport anymore? It's already a mess with the portal and NIL running rampant with no regulation & the ridiculous realignment; if the product on the field is allowed to be manipulated against the rules...fuck it.

Yeah I have to say if they don’t get hit substantially then this sport is morally bankrupt

No argument from me, and I agree.
