He's made of Teflon. His whole tenure has bounced from one scandal to the next. The onfield cheating stuff, the recruiting crap during COVID, all the assistant coach crap (Weiss, Schemmy, the pederast), their hockey program had a big one, the drama around Juwanna. Didn't their softball program have a scandal, too? That's just what has been found; they're dirty as fuuuuck, you know there's more

Walmart Kingpin knows where all the bodies are buried and he must be holding that over the University's head. No other explanation with that much strife during his tenure and surviving.

His title win makes him untouchable to the fanbase. They forgot the losing streak until 2021, all of the coach arrests, player arrests, recruiting misses, coach suspensions, one of the biggest scandals in CFB history all because Hairball got them a chip. There are even some making jokes that he should come back

Considering they clearly weren't planning on firing Sherrone until someone came storming in and demanded it, this isn't a "they got someone lined up situation".

Warde is more than likely to flop on this. There's a good chance they still have no coach when the portal opens Jan 2
