2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Nope, it's either JMU (or whomever) or Virginia. That spot has nothing to do with ND/BYU who get that other spot. Top 5 conference champs guaranteed, so it's Either Virginia from the ACC with 1 G5, or just 2 G5. If chalk holds elsewhere, BYU is out and ND is in, unless they actually drop Bama with a loss, in which case Miami might sneak in.
I’m enjoying this: If Notre Dame was a full member of the ACC they’d be in the playoffs and not worrying about CCG results.

The AAC champ (Tulane) is in.

If UVA goes down to Duke JMU will be the 5th conference champ in.

Almost positive that’s how it goes no matter what BYU does.

Yep, BYU needs a win to get in, and if they lose it’s probably between the Domers and Cryami for the last spot as the #10 seed.

Unless Bama gets blown out.

They'll "legitimately" count the number of ND fans and the number of Miami fans then come up with some narrative as to why they took the Domers.
And it's not the 50s anymore. Every Catholic household in the country doesn't feel a bond with ND. The grandchildren of those subway alums have, to a large degree, become more secular and forged their own cfb allegiances. New Catholic immigrants care a million times more about soccer than college football.

Ohio State is the both the biggest TV draw and fanbase in the country. Domers are somewhere around 4 or 5 as a TV draw.

I mean even so Miami's fanbase is pretty small

I see it as a can't lose situation....

Either Ntre Ame gets left out or Cryami fans are again shown how irrelevant they really are....We can't lose in this scenario

ND has an exponentially bigger draw and fan base than Miami.

Thats the point.
