2024 tOSU Offense Discussion

Yeah, play action passes will be the passing game the rest of the way, IMO. And quick outs and slants.
But isn't this something that's Kelly's calling card while at Oregon? I don't remember him having massive, elite OL, but quick strike offenses, and creative ways to run the ball.

If they can go back to being really RPO heavy like earlier in the season, it could help as well.

Buckeyes still lead the nation in points per red zone possession at 6.44, the only non-score being the fumble over the pylon at Happy Valley. There are 30 TDs, 3 FGs, and 1 turnover involved.

They also lead the nation in that category defensively, allowing exactly 3 points per red zone possession. There are 6 TDS, 5 FGs, and 8 non-scores due to turnovers, missed FGs, and 4th down stops.

Amazing stats. If we keep it up we should win out.
Chip has helped with play calling, but, by far, his greatest contribution has been in the red zone.

In a surprising twist, the Buckeyes are actually a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award. That award is given to the best offensive line in the country every year. Never in a million years did any Ohio State fan think that it was possible they'd be a semifinalist for that award.
