I'm too lazy to look through this thread. I know players have the ability to transfer when a coach leaves. Is there a similar window to enter the NFL draft?

I'm also lazy....but I think the only recourse they would have is to apply for the supplemental draft, which isn't a sure thing. I'm pretty sure that's what happened to Pryor, and thinking back on it I'm surprised they let him into it.I'm too lazy to look through this thread. Pryor had to convince the NFL commissioner that he was not going to be eligible to play college that year, in order to have a supplemental draft. Goodell didn't want to open the door for people to just leave for the supplemental draft whenever they wanted. At the time, he was only suspended for about 5-6 games or something. So Pryor started making shit up about things he was doing at Ohio State that should make him ineligible for more games. Ohio State was able to refute all of the claims Pryor had, and I guess Goodell just gave up and said that he could enter the supplemental draft, but he's suspended from the NFL for 6? 7? 8? games. The funny thing is that people think that the NFL wanted to punish Pryor for the same number of games the NCAA was going to punish him. And while the number was pretty much the same, if the NCAA punished him for more games, the NFL would have suspended him with fewer games.I'm also lazy....but I think the only recourse they would have is to apply for the supplemental draft, which isn't a sure thing. It won't. Harbrau in LA is too good for business.Hopefully the NFL hits Hairball for whatever the NCAA finds happened at scUM.
I'd love it but barring a real smoking gun linking him directly to the scheme (look, we all "know" that he knew, but the NFL is going to want 100% evidence), they'll hide behind the it was Stalions and maybe some assistant coaches line of defense. And as said above, Harbaugh in SD is money and eyeballs.Hopefully the NFL hits Hairball for whatever the NCAA finds happened at scUM.
It'll be a rough start for Moore. There's no easy money early schedule like they've had the last 3 years to settle in new players.
Fresno State is no gimmie G-5 game. They won 9 games this year.
Then you roll into the Texas game
Then a one layup game break against Arkansas State before playing USC
They might be questioning the decision to not even have a real coaching search before September ends.
Texas, Oregon and Ohio State should be certain losses. U-Dub and USC are toss-ups, so let's say that's one more loss. Then they'll probably lose one that they should win when they go full Brian Ferentz on offense. FSU is a great choice for that, and losing out of the gate to a G5 would really knock the wheels off the bus early.
My pick is 7-5 and don't make the playoffs.
I'm not ready to count The Game as a sure loss for them until Day can show me he's not 21st Century John Cooper. There's no excuses this year.Texas, Oregon and Ohio State should be certain losses. Better comparison is Bill Stewart at WVU. Gained fan/player support in a tough situation and was handed the job on a platter instead of WVU executing an actual search and finding the best guy to carry on the momentum the previous coach developed (even if largely illegally).Moore is going to kind of be scUMs football equivalent to our Chris Holtmann. He basically got hired because "he's a great guy who everyone likes". it's a safe play, a overly safe play.
Same path too I bet. They might not be a total dumpster fire out of the gate in year 1, but from year 2 on its all downhill.
