So, not likely to hear anything wrt punishments until sometime in first quarter 2025. Not surprising. Who that impacts the most are their current recruits/commits. But, you know what? Fuck them. It's common knowledge tCun are under investigation for one of the worst offenses in CFB history and as a repeat offender, no less. Some people will wail about it being unfair to the kids...but they made their bed.

Kids can all transfer and be immediately eligible. They'll be fine.

Tsun will be back recruiting "under scouted" 3 stars on the New England Prep scene circuit in no time

When they issued the NOA back in August, Hairball couldn't keep his mouth shut and the NCAA promptly slapped him with a 4 yr show cause and 1 yr suspension, should he try to return to CFB in the next 4 yrs.

This isn't going to be the nothing-burger the dfbia believes.

What are the odds that several current and former players were gambling on their games and if so, would this be an NCAA violation? It seems like it should be, and given their rallying cry of "Bet!" it just seems to be perfectly on-brand for them to openly gloat about breaking the rules.

edit - I found this:

Who is not allowed to bet on College Football?

While many fans can legally bet on college football, certain individuals are prohibited from doing so, regardless of age or location. This prohibition primarily applies to those directly involved in the sport, such as players, coaches, team staff and game officials. The NCAA has strict rules against gambling for anyone affiliated with college sports, and violations can result in severe penalties, including suspensions, fines and even permanent bans from the sport. This is also why many states ban betting on in-state programs.

Additionally, university staff, athletic department employees and individuals with access to insider information are also barred from betting on college sports. These rules are in place to preserve the integrity of the game and to prevent conflicts of interest that could compromise the outcome of a match.

So, this isn't a formal extension of the NOA period but rather tcun saying "fuck you; you can't touch 2023" and the ncaa throwing its hands up and referring to the COI? Negotiating time is over?

And yeah, I don't think they'll need the full 60-90, but they will wait until the offseason. What did the ncaa expect? Have they not been paying attention to Ono that last year+. He's a deranged jock-sniffer who lives to pal around with the foosball players. He was never going to willingly give up their wins and "championships."
