Super-Bowl’ish.I said it after the Oregon game - I was at the Shoe for the Marshall game. The trend of the gameday experience becoming more and more corporate has accelerated. It wasn't really all that enjoyable.

KindaSuper-Bowl’ish.
You get7 Nation Army for kickoffs and Hell’s Bells on every defense third down instead of the band. You get commercials, trams recognition, vids of past plays, give away stuff to goofy people in the stands, and canned music to keep the kids interested. They blast the npose and leave the band in miked.Kinda
More like lacking in charm.
Granted I don't get to go as much as I did from 2000-2007, but every time I go the changes are more noticeable than the similarities.
updatedLet an SEC team make the trip to the Shoe for a 1st round playoff game and it will be insanely expensive

Both of those things can be true.updated
I'm interested in seeing that. Because part of me believes, you, and part of me thinks that OSU won't have anything as crazy as Oregon or LSU at night due to all of the rich old people not wanting the stadium too loud. I remember being at the OSU-USC game in the Shoe, and that was obscenely loud, that is a LONG time ago at this juncture.Let an SEC team make the trip to the Shoe for a 1st round playoff game and it will be insane
I was at Texas 05. My ears were ringing for days. The timeouts are the only time the band is generally allowed to play.
They traded in a top-5 hostile environment for something that's rapidly becoming The Schott, which still gets loud for top games. It was a lucrative trade, but one they won't ever get back.
They'll never have crowds like USC 09 or Texas 05 ever again.
They should ask the kids if the canned music is interesting to them, because their answer will be "not so much" -- I haven't been to a game this year but my kid reports its actually a little better than in the past as far as the obnoxious commercial breaks and the screamy announcer guy.You get7 Nation Army for kickoffs and Hell’s Bells on every defense third down instead of the band. The 20 second samples of random songs between plays are a real turn off for me. Taking 15 yo daughter & 14 yo son this Saturday. I will report back. They should ask the kids if the canned music is interesting to them, because their answer will be "not so much" -- I haven't been to a game this year but my kid reports its actually a little better than in the past as far as the obnoxious commercial breaks and the screamy announcer guy.
