No doubt. Ono was going to wait until the last moment because he didn't want to alienate himself from the team, but that's absolutely their play now.

Probably not, but you want zero doubt in the minds of recruits and portal players that they won't ever see the playoffs or win a B1G championship. It also sends anyone half decent that they do have into the portal in December. Crater their asses for a decade.

Here is scUM's final five games of the regular season:
Michigan State
Oregon
@ Indiana
Northwestern
@ Ohio State
The only reasonably "guaranteed" win is Northwestern. Michigan State is a toss-up betting wise (although I'd lean toward NSU). Oregon is going to flat out boat-race them at Ann Arbwhore, Indiana is going to win by at least two TDs, and we are going to pay them back for three years of downright stealing The Games from us. It's very possible that scUM will finish 5-7 by losing five of their last six games...

Though Hang On Sloopy does fall in line with OSU's increasingly quieter home crowd. OSU needs to up their fan song.
