Michigan football players seek to avoid 'spiral' after two-score loss at Washington
The Wolverines got honest about the current state of the team after falling to 4-2.
"This game doesn't define us," Graham told reporters after the game. "We control our own destiny. If we just win the rest of the games on our schedule, we're going to be in a good place. It's just about staying together. We can't let this break our team apart and spiral into something this team shouldn't be. I'm just looking forward to the next opportunity, taking this bye week and then getting back to business."
Tight end Colston Loveland shared a similar sentiment: "We need to stay together, stay in the building and put in more hours. We need to watch more films, go harder in practice and just do better in every aspect of our life when it comes to football."
Loveland refused to blame the quarterback play or the defense for the loss. The veteran pass-catcher said both sides of the ball have "a lot" to clean up during the team's bye this week.
"Obviously, we have a lot of s*** to clean up on both sides of the ball," Loveland said. "It looked like they wanted it more. They made more plays when their name was called. We just have to make plays and keep the stick moving. We need to work on details and execution."

"The first three drives, that's really who we are," Tuttle said. "The back half, we just missed some opportunities. Personally, I just got to be better at protecting the ball. I can't fumble. I can't do that. That's completely on me. I can't put the team and the defense in that situation. On the last drive, I can't put the ball in danger. That's it. We are a really freaking good team. I don't think this should have happened at all. It is frustrating, and I'll do everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen again."
