Sherrone Moore contract, explained: Why new Michigan head coach doesn't have a long-term deal yet
Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel recently discussed the situation on the "Conqu'ring Heroes Podcast," stating that the two sides are still ironing out the contract.
"They're being worked on as we speak," Manuel said. "I've signed a couple of the assistant coaches. You know, we had a transition not only in football, we had a transition in basketball,
we're dealing with NCAA matters..... , we're dealing with the situation with our apparel provider, bringing on legends as shortly as Saturday.
"These things take time, the contracts. I mean, they don't just happen overnight and the things that have popped up — but they're being worked on."
Moore echoed a similar sentiment on Friday. During an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show", the Michigan head coach reassured fans that the two sides are committed to each other.
Just sayin': If a contract does get finalized you have to wonder if there will be a "fire for cause" line where scUM can terminate it (and owe him nothing) if it is found Moore violated any NCAA rules, etc. Reportedly Harbaugh had some issues with that back when he was negotiating a contract, etc.
