*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

Need Arky State to throw a scare into them and then USC to roll in there with a plunger. I think they'll lose to USC, Washington, Sparty, Oregon and Ohio State and end up 6-6. It might get so bad that Ono is too embarrassed to shower with the team. Then, they'll be so tone-deaf and arrogant as to try and self-impose for this year and just piss off the infractions committee even more.
I think it's entirely possible that they:

Lose all of the above

AND

Lose one of Minne-ha-ha OR Sparty

AND

Roll into the 'Shoe at 5-6 the week their response to the NOA is due and THEN self impose a bowl ban for THIS year.

Then play the victim when the NCAA doesn't buy it.

Ah yes, this is the good stuff. Been sorely missing this for three bullshit seasons. _goblog coming to the realization there is a very rocky road ahead. Not because they're about to get cornholed by the ncaa...still not talking about that.

Michigan has decided to put one of their best offensive players on the bench on almost every snap. Evan Link got pushed around a lot. The things they were saying about Alex Orji in the off-season feel fabricated. They’re not even giving Alex Orji the chance to throw. Maybe they made an offense for him and it just didn’t work out and they had to switch back. There are a lot of veteran offensive linemen that are getting passed by younger linemen who aren’t quite there. The floor is getting lowered. Sherrone Moore is a young head coach and younger head coaches have hiccups early in their careers. It’s not that any individual player is at fault every time but enough players make enough mistakes that a lot of plays end up not working. This game was the other side of the 2021 Wisconsin game.
This is the blog that was pumping gallons of Orji sunshine this offseason. Whoopsie. And Sherrone isn't just a "young head coach", he's a young head coach without a net because he had to settle for Walmart discount bin assistants because nobody worth a damn was going there with everything swirling around.
Takes hotter than Northern Illinois’ coach after beating Notre Dame. Jyaire Hill got picked on a lot in this game and Wink Martindale got his butt handed to him. They moved Mason Graham to defensive end on 3rd down?? Jesse Minter ran the good stuff, Wink is trying to run the “cool stuff”. The amoeba defense is nice in the NFL but just isn’t going to work with younger college players. The blitzes work because they’re weird but if you do them too frequently then they’re not weird anymore. If this game happened either of the last two seasons it would be doom but right now it’s fine, it’s not great, but it’s just whatever! We are kicker U!
Newsflash: you hired a dinosaur DC who is essentially a bloated Don Brown.

And from the dfbia in the comments:
The offense was bad beyond the players. Maybe they did try a Single Wing and had to scrap it late? That can be an explanation, if not a good excuse. Otherwise, holy hell... I'm already at the point where Campbell needs to be removed from the OC position. He clearly cannot install a scheme or call plays that are coherent.
The lack of coherent playcalling on the offensive side is very troubling. Especially when you bring in Orji for a short 3rd down and the defense can key solely on the run with a disjointed oline. It’s not Warren that is the problem, nor the RBs who both seemed to run as well as anyone could considering the lack of any sizable holes, nor the wrs getting open or not. It’s that the oline is having trouble run blocking and pass blocking and that the routes for the wrs are more in the long developing route trees that the oline simply can’t protect long enough for the wrs to get open.

If I’m Campbell and Moore, I’m putting in the older, more experienced C and RT to shore up the oline. The offense starts and stops with the linemen, and being able to stop pass rushes and open holes is required for an offense to move the ball consistently.
Campbell had to be elevated because you couldn't get a real OC to sign on. His only experience as an OC was in a failed tenure at Old Dominion a couple of years ago. Walmart discount bin.
I think you put your finger on a real problem. We had a succession plan for O-line, with presumed starters who got snaps in prior seasons, and then threw that overboard the last week of Fall camp for younger guys who are not ready. WT actual F?! This all got lost in the noise of Orji is the presumed starters, until literally 48 hours before kickoff.
You all got fed the Orji garbage because the program and the sycophants that cover it know you are idiots and would lap it up. Just like they continue to string you along about the pending smashing by the ncaa. The guy sucked from day 1, but there is no program that deals in propaganda quite like tCun.
If you guys are already questioning whether Sherrone is going to bomb or not then i think the answer is already apparent. Sad to see. Lets call it the price you pay for a championship. Clean house after this year and move on
Price you pay for a championship? Most teams that win a title are legitimate big time programs that continue competing for years after. Your "championship" was bullshit won by executing the largest on field cheating ring in the history of the sport. The "price" of that championship will be far greater than the crap product you're currently watching.

Exactly. This is clearly a team with no direction, the coaches seem completely out of synch with each other, there's no real solid consistent plan at all and it shows. Moore is clueless how to be the actual captain of the ship, during his interim run last year he still had Harbaugh and the cheating crew there all week to hold his hand through game planning on everything, all he had to do on Saturday was stick to the script lined out for him. Now he has to make his own script and it's a mess.

The oline is bad, there is a clear drop-off from the last few years (and of course not knowing exactly what the D is coming at you with makes it harder too) I know it's still early but it doesn't look like a unit that has much potential to actually improve throughout the year. There's a reason they kept bringing in transfers to supplement the OL and pass over these guys and it's showing. That coupled with the WRs being absolutely garbage, even if they had a somewhat ok QB they'd still be in the same mess.

This after one loss? Is this a Dr Pepper commercial?

They're going to get rid of Moore, but not for the reason he thinks.

Sherrone Moore contract, explained: Why new Michigan head coach doesn't have a long-term deal yet

Sherrone%20Moore%20090524.jpg

Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel recently discussed the situation on the "Conqu'ring Heroes Podcast," stating that the two sides are still ironing out the contract.

"They're being worked on as we speak," Manuel said. "I've signed a couple of the assistant coaches. You know, we had a transition not only in football, we had a transition in basketball, we're dealing with NCAA matters..... , we're dealing with the situation with our apparel provider, bringing on legends as shortly as Saturday.

"These things take time, the contracts. I mean, they don't just happen overnight and the things that have popped up — but they're being worked on."

Moore echoed a similar sentiment on Friday. During an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show", the Michigan head coach reassured fans that the two sides are committed to each other.

Just sayin': If a contract does get finalized you have to wonder if there will be a "fire for cause" line where scUM can terminate it (and owe him nothing) if it is found Moore violated any NCAA rules, etc. Reportedly Harbaugh had some issues with that back when he was negotiating a contract, etc.

Report: Jim Harbaugh seeking delay in start date of new Michigan contract, immunity from termination caused by NCAA sanctions

The thing about Orji is that he's not even a good runner. He can get first down yardage on a couple QB sweeps or counters, but his career long run is 20 and he only has 145 yards total at 5.5 ypc. They've let themselves be hoodwinked into thinking they have Tebow or Newton back there instead someone they probably can't even use for scout team because he's such a shitty passer.

People often confuse being big and fast with automatically being a good runner.

Orji is terrible at reading a defense and his vision is lacking. Not to mention he's of absolute zero threat to you throwing the ball so you know when he's in the game he's likely keeping it and to just key on him.

College football's Most overrated, underrated teams in Week 3

Early returns are positive for some teams, while others do not look the part.

Michigan Wolverines (overrated)

12596283.png

AP Poll preseason ranking: No. 9
Current ranking: No. 17
Sherrone Moore needs more playmakers and a leader at the quarterback position who can manage this offense until the Wolverines work themselves into a lather in the run game. Texas traveled to Ann Arbor and left a mark, so it's intriguing to see how Michigan responds. Wink Martindale's defense has enough talent front to back to make several remaining opponents look pedestrian, but this team doesn't have the firepower on offense that's a necessity in the playoff discussion. The same goes for Notre Dame, another preseason top 10 that's fading quickly after falling at home to Northern Illinois.
