*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

This was 100% their plan
I think it's either that or it was a bribe. "Hire me or I admit to everything they're accusing us of." He knows he's likely boned, so he might as well try to get a couple million for a year. And there's a chance he can pin this on *ichigan and get a job somewhere else if he stays there until he gets canned.

I mean, he's probably not going to be able to get a job somewhere else. But maybe he's holding out hope for a miracle.

I mentioned earlier how I thought a Coach like him swinging in the breeze without a contract is a VERY dangerous individual. Given what he’s likely sitting on, he should be set up for life if he merely hints at letting it be known what he knows.

Ballsack continues to act like scUM are the ones in charge of the investigation and the NCAA are just sitting and agreeing to everything because they said so

They were doing a crossover on the Texas board for questions about the Texas/scUM game. Ballsack claimed "Nobody even cares about that anymore except Ohio State fans" in RE: The cheating scandal which proceeded in him and his goons getting grilled by floods of questions/insults/"you are cheaters" comments about it from Texas fans.

I hear you but, we don't know what the NCAA already knows. If Bike Hart has been "cooperating" along with maybe others perhaps he doesn't have much leverage.

Yeah - the fact that he's out there without a contract is weird. And the fact that *ichigan is letting him stay out there without a contract is weird.

A memo of understanding is a nice theory. We’ll see how it works out.
I mean he's getting the full salary and benefits package of the contract without the long term stability and buyout provisions. There is 0% chance that Ono and the Regents aren't doing this on purpose if it becomes necessary to scapegoat him...amd then you know they'll immediately go to the "see how we do things right" card.

Here's your dUMb thought of the day. Not shockingly instead of talking about the upcoming game (gee I wonder why!), they are busy obsessing over Ohio State and still trying to spin all of this as "just cheeseburgers" and "every does these things!" along with plenty of deflection attempts.

inducement is prohibited
OSU and Miami were openly bidding on Jeremiah Smith and other players during the off season. No they didn't announce the bids, but you had several money motivated players going back and forth between OSU and Miami.
The one that sticks out to me the most is Cam Ward. Cam Ward was a difference maker for Miami against Florida. If OSU had him they would be far and away the National Championship favorites.
  • Nov 30th Cam Ward has 10 Transfer Offers of at Least $1 Million (That's 10 schools who are guilty of inducement. OSU is one of them.)
  • Dec 1st or 2nd Ryan Day has 1:1 with Kyle McCord and does not commit to him as OSU's QB for the following year. Day doesn't do this if he doesn't think he has Cam Ward. No one (other than Miami) is outbidding OSU.
  • Dec 3 Day is non-committal about McCord as QB at a press conference.
  • Dec 4 to Jan 2 Transfer portal is open. Schools aren't allowed to talk to players before they are in the portal. Though players can talk to other players and alumni (NIL).
I've posted this before, but it really gets me that Michigan is in hot water for cheeseburgers (during COVID) and the Stalions BS when other schools are blatantly flaunting the rules in public and absolutely nothing happens. No one even questions it. Inducing Cam Ward to leave WSU has more impact than just about anything you can think of other than maybe knee capping Cam Ward before you play Miami.
I'm rooting for Kyle McCord this year. He had a good opener at Syracuse against Ohio University with a career high in passing yards 354, 4 TD and 1 INT.
My fantasy scenario:
  1. OSU falters with WIll Howard, has a QB controversy that pisses off all of their QBs. OSU loses to Michigan and our walk on QB. Ohio State also loses to Iowa (Cade), Oregon (for giggles), and Nebraska (Riaola). They do beat Penn State. They miss the play-offs. OSU's QBs all leave at the end of the year after being induced.
  2. Kyle McCord gets Syracuse into the playoffs. Riaola gets Nebraska into the playoffs. Cam Ward gets Miami into the playoffs. Michigan makes the playoffs.
  3. OSU hires their same PI firm to investigate Miami and Nebraska for outbidding them on QBs and leak the information to the press.
  4. The subsequent fallout implicates OSU as doing the same things as the other schools.
  5. Ryan Day is fired. (Unfortunately)
  6. OSU hires their version of RR.
Alternate more far fetched is OSU and Syracuse get matched up in the playoffs and Syracuse wins.

Oh, 1000% for sure he’s not signed because it’s going to be so much easier to jettison him when the NCAA comes down on them. It’s just so much easier to unwind something that was never wound in the first place.

Every coach in the country should be keeping an eye on how the school plays this. If they screw him hard, that’s not exactly a sign that a coach not in complete desperation would take kindly.

I like how he slid that "probably" qualifier in there so he has an out when the heavens rain down on them.
